As you all know, do to my earlier association with "my" Uncle Sam all of which was indeed an honor, sustained a profound hearing disability during the course of expert Independent Medical Examiner/consumer education duties (Letter for distinctive recognition on file stating "during the course of official investigative work, and signed by the DRC"...) etc.  This disability is called inner ear tinnitus which increases in intensity as the morning progresses into the afternoon...and especially if tea, coffee (Alcohol products) or even alleged "natural products" other than juice or water are employed.  Thus, I can hear folks close or within a small and confined room, but absent proper acoustics, of course competition with the tinnitus has the anticipated outcome (known to "quality" physicians) .  Which is why we need to support the Americans for Disabilities Act over those who offer products and services absent any consideration for Americans with disabilities.  Indeed. 

Antithetically, and with much surprise, upon returning to the home offices of the Journal, have found tremendous support for the 30 music works I left behind.  And thus, engineers are working on offering a limited version of our first song for national pride, in good old American Rock and Roll format, and may ask for a small donation to defer the costs of medical school life, for the entire download.   However this is simply an idea one member advised. Lets hope we can work the mechanics out within the next month or so if "time allows", and bring good old American music in modern rock format (Other songs-Blues, Jazz, Pop etc after the boards) for our readers.  God Bless the good that listen (Most don't.).lg

A 60 year old female notes visual disturbances in one eye, vertigo, facial paresis, headache, motor and sensory deficits opposite the side of eye manifestations as well as alternating weakness of the opposite sides of the body which develop abruptly and last for either a period of minutes but seldom greater then 1 to 2 hours.  The patient also complained of sudden falls without the loss of consciousness accompanied by amnesia.  All symptoms disappeared after the attack and the patient remained conscious through the episode.

Exam:  The Global Sustained Rotational Test (Cailliet Neff Test) ruled out occlusion-fainting/vomiting or seizure yet a mild niastagmus was noted while the patient was asked to look to the side of rotation at extreme rotation.  The heart exam was negative for murmurs or arrhythmias.  Cardiac output sounded loud over the pericardium but did diminish toward the neck.  The blood pressure noted hypertension and orthostatic hypertension at 166/95.  While auscultation proved discovery of a higher pitched sound over the carotid arteries vs. the subclavian.

Lab:  Doppler study useful.  Ultrasongrapy or arteriography can confirm stenosis and identify artery.

Which of the following is the correct diagnosis?

A)  Cerebrovascular Accident

(B)  Brain Tumor

(C)  Pagets Disease

(D)  Adverse Drug Reaction

(E)  Transient ischemic attacks/TIA

Answer:  E:  Transient Ischemic Attack/TIA; Focal neurologic abnormalities of sudden onset and brief duration (usually minutes, never more than few hours; that reflect dysfunction in the distribution of either the internal carotid-middle cerebral or the vertebral-basilar arterial system (emboli).  Vertigo is most common at the vertebral-basilar artery.  It must be noted that between 25-40 percent of patients who have TIA's will have a CVA within 3-5 years.  A rare variation is the subclavian steal syndrome, in which a subclavian artery stenosed proximal to the vertebral artery take off and steals reverse flow of blood from the vertebral artery to supply the arm during extension.-"little guy"

This examiner warned Bush that his war ways will cause copycats to use war tactics here at home.  Yesterday while trying to study, suddenly I heard four loud rifle shots.  It sounded like shot gun, but when I looked out my window and saw a man exiting the front door of a building with either a shot gun or AK 47 in his hand.  As he ran across the street he slipped due to the rain and as he fell on his but he rifle went off again.  Just then a black Toyota Corolla or Chevrolet Impala pulled up.  As the man opened the door aiming the rifle it seemed at the driver it went off again through the vehicle.  It was hard to tell if he was firing at the driver or at someone at the building.  The car speed off.  Of course I called 911 and gave a complete description as well as walking outside to advise the police they needed to search the building as someone may be dead.  But the facts are gang violence and foreign mobsters have copied the war like ways destroying much of Mexico and our border cities terrifying folks with murder, kidnapping and rape.  Then 30 republicans voted to keep Halliburton safe from prosecution which is known as workers compensation in the states.  These horrific human beings denied workers compensation rights to patriotic Americans as well as setting the precedent to gangs to go a head and rape.  Well, there is no coincidence.  Do you really believe George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Ben Franklin and the rest of the founding fathers would vote to free a business from a rape that occurred on their watch?  Do you really think that the poor 14 year old girl in California deserved the example set forth by the dirty 30!  This poor girl was attacked at her homecoming dance!  She was repeatedly raped for 21/2 hours and beaten over and over again.  She was gang raped from 9:30-12:00 midnight.  The drunken dirty rapist were akin to the drugged rapists in Iraq. 

When will we as a nation say enough is enough when it comes to violence.  When will we act like Americans again.  Clearly these villains must serve severe jail time and the dirty 30 republicans must be confronted rather than heralded by those on Fox News.  A republican friend has been keeping score and apparently those that follow Mr. O'Reilly have had some of the dirty thirty on.  Outrageous.  What ever happened to the idea of being a Mentor, and setting the right example for the people rather than openly and documented for history in written records of congress vote to allow a company, even if it is the republican favorite Halliburton, get off scott free and absent proper workers compensation court hearings followed by civil law suits. 

These Republicans and those gang rapists are all un-American and there are many voters who have had enough.  The dirty 30 are no better then the rapists themselves.  May the lord again bless this nation as it is clear that we have had eight years of Republican foolishness, evidenced by the fact that when their man Bush left office, he left the nation broke, in two wars he could not win, unpopular around the globe, broke our financial systems, advocated torture, failed the people in Katrina and today, their voices like Hannity et al., try to blame the financial mess on the new president even though he had nothing to do with the situation we are in.  If we don't begin to act like the good people who elected these fools, we will have continued bad luck.  And "you just can't make this stuff up"!

THE TERRIFIC TIM RUSSERT JOURNALIST EXTRAORDINAIRE HAS PASSED AT 58

Tim Russert, the best of the best in today's era of reporting has passed suddenly from a heart attack via plaque rupture in a coronary artery, causing sudden coronary thrombosis, while working at his and the NBC offices in Washington.  He was only 58 years old.  Only the best die that way.  My own father passed suddenly that same way, at his offices so many years ago.  My heart goes out to the Russert family.  Meet the Press will never be the same.  I have said my prayer for his passing and hope you do the same.  This is truly a sad moment in history.  Editor's note.

Well its true fairy tales could come true if your young at heart.  This last Saturday was my last day of a wonderful rotation in medical Internal Medicine and Emergency Care clinical clerkships.  During the day hours, I was able to learn internal medicine from a wonderful specialist in internal medicine as well as learn about nuclear medicine, ultrasound techniques, EKG, knee injections (Joint care) and just so much more.  And then on those same days during the evening hours each of the six days per week worked learning from a rotating group of specialists in emergency medicine and urgent care.  Each of the evening four physicians and surgeons, specialized in their own areas but again taught me the most wonderful techniques at suturing skull injuries, torso lacerations, as well as extremity lacerations and just about every kind of medical problem that presents to emergency medical facilities and urgent care.  It was so wonderful this editor had to ask myself why I did not do this when I was young, then only to be reminded by my own mother when I mentioned this (She also reminded me that most folks in the Twin Cities and five state area thought I would end up either on Broadway as I starred in many many play's, sang, danced on TV-old soft shoe-before Once Upon A Mattress-West Side Story-Music Man etc opened, and when I was six-seven was on Romper Room, or my songs would be published although she always thought I would be a physician and surgeon...), that my father passed during my teen age years, and I had to work from early in the morning until late at night often sneaking away from lunch and dinner to attend my courses at the University of Minnesota eventually achieving my BA in psychology and some masters level psychiatry courses where I attended patients.  Of course my readers know the rest (Even cooler was the fact that while working in Emergency Medicine/Urgent care and Internal Medicine, your editor treated two of my teacher/physician and surgeons and one of the  excellent physical therapists for  neuromusculoskeletal problems/stress).  I was honored to help and learn so much.

Tomorrow your editor will begin his training in a wonderful family medicine rotation which by the end of my medical clerkships down the line in a year or more, may be my path for residency.  But folks you must remember one thing, "And here is the best part,

In an article below, your editor called the drop in oil prices.  Oil went from $131 and change down to $126 bouncing today up to about $127 and change!  Thank you.  However you can bet dollars to donuts the price will be manipulated by the friends of Republicans until the elections are over and that once Mc Cain is elected oil will go to at least $200 per barrel. 

Because your editor is not home during the evening hours, I can only address the many emails in a general way.  The negativity network continues to opine that which they wish as the truth, and ironically they continue to then influence those who listen rather than think!  Its amazing but true.  OK, occasionally a lone Dem voice screams out the truth in a hurricane of Republican rhetoric which muffles the truth if it can even be understood at all.  My readers have conducted some research on their own which began with Mr. O'Reilly continuing to haze the NBC networks.  This caused readers to examine MSNBC themselves and most are loving their new network.  It has been reported to this examiner that even "Greta's" expose of crimes and law" the best of the breed on the air waves has had many of the same spokespersons of what they wish to hear as truth politically, as the shows which precede her, causing folks to become disgruntled and look for other programming.  Pity if true.  She developed a brilliant niche and did not need to bring the same old tired out spin republican politicians on her show.  But heck, this editor is only reporting an overview of what my readers have reported to me, and their emails have not let this Journal down yet.

Although folks like Hannity continue to hammer those that believe the weather patterns have changed due to the smaller and smaller ozone, Tornadoes have become more common than in recent recorded history akin to the Hurricanes, and too much more of opining what he wishes were the truth rather than the reality of the human condition 'truths".  When will the folks in the pundit arena attempt to work together to make our world a better place in which to live?

Again, due to my dedication to my assigned clerkship work, your editor can rarely read all the emails if at all, have found internet companies which are out to get your money offering zero in the way of products promised, but must leave this area to the powers that be for the study of medicine is all consuming both in memory record tasks and then delivery of information and procedures to help the sick, the suffering, the disabled, those on fixed incomes too ill to care for themselves, the mentally handicapped, glass stepped on, foreign bodies into the eyes, musculoskeletal systems, rashes, hypersensitivity reactions, autoimmune conditions, common ear, nose , throat, chest infections, to end organ dysfunctions, hypertension, elevated blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid, endocrine to only mention a toe into the area of presentations.

Your editor wishes all Americans, no matter their persuasion the very best of luck, and would hope that we can begin to all work together as we did during the era of FDR, or JFK. little guy

Soon we must vote for the next president of the United States.  We must examine their party and what influences them so we will understand what will happen to our nation and all areas of American life.  We know that the 'Republicans delivered us the worst housing situation since the great depression Do you believe that all the folks that lost, are losing their homes, and all the foreclosures will return to these who lost everything under another republican administration?

Also lets study the price of gasoline prior to the republican influence and control of the white house.  When our popular president was elected, the dealer costs/profit margin was 0.019 including an average sales tax of $0.129 dollars, State excise tax of $0.180, $0.183 Federal Excise Tax, $0.550 Refinery costs/profit margin, $0.716 Crude oil cost to equal total costs of $1.758 with the total retail price of $1.739 per gallon of best brands gasoline  This was from the largest driving state, California.  Thus, for our nation to return to the healthy state it was in prior to Republican leadership, gas at the pump would have to return to $1.74 per gallon.  Do you think another republican president can return us to such levels?  Not a chance!

What about our national debt and trade deficits?  We went from a three trillion surplus to the highest debt in our nations history with a total debt of $53 Trillion which is $175,154 per man, woman and child or $700,616 per family of 4, $33,781 more debt per family than even last year alone! Were you aware that last years total debt increased to 5.5 times more than our GDP? 

Were you aware that external debt owed to foreign interests increased to $2.2 trillion and our household, business and financial sector debt soared 7-11% while China improved its production by 11 percent!  Our debt soared 11% while China's production increased 11%!  Outrageous but true.  In other words under the republicans the $53 Trillion of debt in America is rising rapidly and the economy is 2-3 times more debt-dependent with $32 Trillion debt excess compared to prior debt ratios of pervious administrations.  Now hold on to your chair for last year's debt per family of four increased by $33,781, to $700,616.  And the republican plan has caused foreign interests or international ownership of U.S. debt to $12.5 Trillion which indicates foreign interests have more control over the US economy than Americans!

Not to be outdone by our debt, under republican leadership our national trade deficit has soured to $286,120,095,872.16 and climbing every second! This enormous size of the trade deficits over the last seven years raises the possibility of a severe international economic crisis should foreigners begin to dump the dollars they hold in world currency markets. 

Mc Cain gave a wonderful speech yesterday on healthcare for our veterans.  He knows about veterans.  But he also said he does not know much about the economy or economic matters.  Do you really believe that the republicans who are held hostage to Big Oil, Foreign trade business interests, their crazy free trade which builds other nations but diminishes our nation concomitant with a continuing super drain of our moneys due to their warring ways can help?  When we cannot even afford to continue to war all over the world, yet wish to do so while putting down the other parties ideas of using politics to further our gains as McCain has, do you wonder why it is difficult for thinking Americans to support the republican brand?  Words are fine, but absent wisdom they are meaningless and often pronounced wrong anyway.

When you vote folks, think about these few facts and vote wisely rather than politically.  Sure, oil will probably come down in the short term to make things look better, but will gas return to $1.75 a gallon?  No!  We need ethics and a new direction on all fronts to return our nation to its rightful place historically. little guy CFE

The republicans and even some bitter folks who claim to be independents but obviously are republicans in sheep's clothing (Any one who makes their pundit living by advertising they are an independent but wishes their kudos' to Rush Limbaugh, is akin to his operation chaos, simply a republican in sheep's clothing) are bitter that Barack Obama realized that using taxpayers dollars to pay for a presidential candidates campaign was akin to waste and abuse of the reasons for taxation.  This was brilliant folks.  But the republicans appear to love to waste taxpayer dollars, openly support that you check that little box so that your dollars wont go to running the necessary programs needed by our nation such as eliminating the credit crunch, improving the situation for student loans, implementing programs to begin renewable energy/alternative energy solutions, a bit of drilling where it can't harm the health of our peoples, rebuilding our infrastructure such as new bridges, highways, and especially new levee's subsequent to learning from Katrina, creating a more rapid system for flood, hurricane, tornado or disaster relief and improve our homeland security which all create jobs, jobs, jobs. 

Mc Bush or Mc Cain is so lost on this issue that it appears that his entire campaign is become one big senior moment.  He is wrong on so many issues that its shocking.  Why only today, he openly criticized Obama for changing to the position of prudence when using our tax dollars.  Thus demonstrating Mc Cain and the republicans parties strategy for keeping themselves dependant on wasting our tax dollars on themselves, rather than on the important issue which face the nation.  This Journal solutes the first Democrat since JFK who refuses to waste our tax dollars on their own petty bid for President.  Now that is the prototypical example for demonstrating the wisdom to "change, accept new corrections and bend as the wisdom of science bends in the currents of new knowledge (The Strain of Athleticism, Scott D. Neff, Journal of the American Chiropractic Association-May 1981).  Congratulations Barack (JFK) Obama.  little guy

Well, this editor has been extraordinarily silent on recent events as things had to be played out.  It is clear, that if speeches by Obama, Obama, Clinton and Clinton were graded fairly relative to any of the republican comparable speeches, undoubtedly, the Obama's and the Clinton's are far more talented and more intellectual.  Mrs. Obama's speech revealed more in the way she spoke, her lovely speaking voice and her terrific speech hand gestures, and content then Sarah's kind of harsh or shrill voice.  Mrs. Obama's from the heart communications compared to the same old tired out Republican rhetoric voiced by Governor Sarah was apprecitated.  If we were to compare both proposed Vice President's speeches, the democrat for once in many many years, comes off as a seasoned and educated leader ready to help America.  Whereas Governor Sarah comes off as something only the Republicans could find competitive based on bias alone.  Yet, when one compares the reactions of the democrats with the republicans, republicans today still come off as cheerleader types who are overly vocal and excited about their candidates.  Whereas the Democrats who seemed to outnumber the republicans at the conventions by vast numbers, remained more reserved, more restrained, and not as excited at their respective conventions. 

The roles have somehow reversed.  Years back a conservative was the one who remained calm and reserved and the liberals were overly colorful and excitable.  How odd.  Thus, the speeches by both Clintons were outstanding, and clearly Bill was super when he did not have to speak about himself.  He was terrific.  A leg up from the pack. Yet the Dem's remained more reserved. 

Also it appears the Republicans are looking for things in their candidates which reminds them of themselves rather than wishing to change our nation to eliminate our debt to China or any foreign nation, improve our trade balances, revive homeland manufacturing, and simply bring our nation 180 degrees from where we have gone over the last eight years relative to "fiscal responsibility" We began with a three trillion dollar social security surplus to today's national debt to entities that do not have our best interests at heart.  Republicans are fired up to sell us again as they did before, and only time will tell how the nation will vote.  For example, both John and Sarah are good Americans and if they win they will receive support as we are all Americans.  Yet only the blind or the foolish (would have party win over nation-hypocritical and wrongheaded...!) wish to repeat or increase the fiscal direction this nation has taken. Yet no one brings that home to the voters.  Not even the Dems.

Frankly, the Dem's could win if they did nothing else but present the data to the American people in simple ways we all could understand.  That is the trick.  For this election has become about hockey mom's over trillions lost in Iraq, over a billion in cash stolen right out from underneath our leadership only to disappear in the sands of Iraq.  In other words, the wrong folks stole American tax dollars, and got away with it Scott free.  And this is only minor compared to foreign nations buying our national treasures such as railroads and military contracts giving away military secrets to foreign entitles where we can not police our private info 24/7, and have given away a means of distribution through the nation for dirty bombs and simply to much more.  Our borders are more porous then ever before because those that wish to commit crimes and cross our borders simply are a head of us technically and with intent.  While our laissez-faire attitude gives us estimates of crossing's absent a fair controlled border through simple fencing which could be monitored for trespassing simply by pressure sensors!  No one cared enough to prove we could be secure.  It's just all talk, hand outs of contracts for services which by the end of their testing failed homeland security, our nation, our people, and indeed any one who cares about America in deeds rather than words.  And truly too much more...!  Poison's coming into our nation from Mexico and China, and a drug agency with the name of food in it to mean vitamins or nutrients suddenly thrust into the position of policing our food absent a gun and the power to make such enforcement realistic.  In fact every thing appears to be geared to service foreign trade over anything American in the belief that that will help business.  But the overall picture of the outstanding Public Debt as of September 5, 2008 at 9:28:51 PM GMT was 9,670,084,396,968.22 dollars.  The estimated population of the United States is 304,674,012 so each citizen's share of this debt is $31,739.12. The National Debt has continued to increase an average of $1.93 billion per day since September 28, 2007.  That is unconscionable and should be the center piece of a debit on the future course of our nation.  And add that to a 480,830,414,748.56 dollars and cents trade deficit, and our complete political process seams gamed and absent much in the way of promise to turn things around.  Lets face it, there are only two major parties, one caused our national fiscal chaos, and thus the other should be a shoe in for change and hope for a reversal of fortunes.  Yet, the nightmare just keeps going on!

For example, it was actually very humorous to watch the Fox News coverage of the Democratic convention where they had primarily die hard Republicans on to comment on a democratic event!  They even herald the "architect" of our trade and national debt nightmares, as one to listen to again!  Its dumb.  But republicans could sell a fake donkey to a zoo!  And find ways to tell us what a good deal we received.  Its odd but true.  And this article is not intended to hound the Fox News corp. because I find them entertaining.  So they are entertaining but certainly do things and view the world in their own special way rather than the American Way through truly fair reporting.  It was a gas to see and hear Sean Hannity represent Fox as the anchor for some periods of the democratic convention.  In fact it was a hoot.  But what is shocking is that most folks perhaps did not see the humor, and rather fell into the trap of "thinking American" according to a news network rather than a news network sharing folks views.  They report by leading, which is odd, but somehow successful.  My view is that their success comes from being entertaining. 

Antithetically, Barack Obama is the first Dem in almost eight years who has the ability and mastery of the English language to be able to expose a "true" republican "lie" as a fib rather than getting sunk by the lie ("True Lies Syndrome" and tactics!-September 05, 2008 Neff).  For example the lipstick on a pig comment which had nothing to do with Governor Sarah, was morphed by the Republican machine into an attack against their female candidate because she happens to wear lipstick!  Outrageous but a successful tactic of the last eight years.  However this time, the candidate is able to place into words and communicate like a great communicator the facts which expose such Republican tactics.  In fact, in my day, folks on average were either more intelligent absent education or many folks today who fall for that stuff fail to realize that the republican tactic should be taken as a Freudian slip.  A demonstration of something they were trying to hide which was exposed..."an insecurity or realistic problem exposed"!  Only time will tell if Obama simply hammers the republicans on their fiscal failures as referenced above and continues to simply explain a false attack as such but in simple lay folks terms. Everyone, and that's everyone that writes this Journal, or to whom I have spoken to at length about the issues, agree, that since the Iraq War aftermath, our absence of political strategy and subsequently our military has fumbled and bumbled because we simply have a leadership vacuum; a time where no great leaders have either stepped forward or have proven their worth.  For God's sake all rational and responsible people know that the Obama rhetoric of "I would have not gone to war" and so forth has yet to offer a solution to the Iraq conundrum!  He is way out there garnishing the anti-war folks, when answers to problems are needed past tense due in this student's mind to Bush/Rumsfeld errors.  What we need is a candidate who is looking for or at least includes the thinking persons vote! 

But it is still early in the race yet only those with a plan which the people can scrutinize, could be considered for the next president of the United States of America.  Yes we have learned from our President, that all future candidates will have to offer us a plan which solves the problems facing our nation and not the witnessed old stale rhetoric filled with promises for your hopes and dreams with no roadmap to get there.

Hillary, one of so much talent, promise, and ability curiously delivers so very little relative to common sense, has "thus far" posted her answer to solving the Iraq conundrum; complete pull out upon presidency absent contingency for anything!  And of course President Bush, who simply did not listen to our finest minds at the pentagon who were eliminated or suffered early retirements, implemented the now famous Custard/Rumsfeld plan of too few troops because we have better small arms, continues raising and lowering troop levels like band-aids over a large wound not understanding that the elimination of the cause of the bleed solves the problem!  Not one of the top candidates has delivered a plan which ends our overall troop involvement in Iraq, leaves Iraq relatively stable, and cleans up the mess our president made, done consciously or unconsciously.

If we had gone in with 250,000 troops we would have been out in at the worst case scenario, in three years, with bases, and popular support.  But we went in undermanned and under armed relative to "short wave frequency detectors", built into every vehicle to detect land mines, bombs, hidden guns, ammo as well equipped with super glass (glass which will stop rifle and gun fire from vehicle occupants), full body armor for all combatants, also equip positions with robot munitions assault forces to animate positions with return fire while tanks and heavy arms move in to surround any combative position, clear the streets, maintain marshal law until control is regained, and commence Iraqi takeover of their own country.  But this never happened and still cannot as long as we put in too few troops.  Where is the champion for the people with the most common sense military strategy proven over and over again by the greatest generals in history?  And combine that with our techno superiority, again we are out in six months from today relative to large ground forces, and the drawdown would commence.  Yet every day we waffle delays our exiting from Iraq.

Our readers have yet to see any candidate sound like a President who could solve our problems with an open plan everyone can understand.  We know what front runners thus far would do, simply extremes of the same continuum!  What we don't know is who will lead us out of our problems solving them as we go and not abandoning them or ignoring them as the Obama/Clinton/Bush recorded rhetoric has.  In fact with these recordings in hand, watch the flip flopping begin with these folks as the fact is no rational nor responsible plan has yet to be placed into the public record save some sound bites which appear promising from that citizen of the city which doesn't sleep, that wonderful town, proven mob destroyer and leader, Rudy Giuliani.  Edwards sounds great on most things absent the Iraq conundrum. 

However after watching the Dem's and Republicans self mutilate for about 20 years now, and then send up the richest most big business tied candidates, and not simply those dedicated to quietly solving all of America's most vexing problems absent all the pomp and circumstance, bodes we may end of with the same old picks again;  Hillary who is very talented, and then a Bush again after her.  Perhaps you, the American voters can prove this prognostication or observation wrong which would make this editor pleasantly happy.  However and again, until proven otherwise the era of the "Fumbling and Bumbling times " continues.  Well, that's how it looks from here at the Journal bureau, February 3rd, 2007. little guy

Ok, well lack of common sense is not held as an exclusive and seems to be contagious relative to the Iraq War aftermath.  Please, every time you see our US kids in a gun, rifle, small cannon and so forth battle, as we see daily, think "moron moment", and first compare this with the old cowboy movies which appears to be the strategy of this military, and then picture in your minds eye that in every conflict or skirmish of the type we have witnessed both in Iraq and Afghanistan, our forces send in not what we have witnessed, but enough to completely surround the position of conflict and handle it with our 110 gun ships, mortar, tank , high tech weapons (Air and land based 110 Gun vehicles!) and so forth, and send in the ground troops only in overwhelming numbers to fight and to  reclaim the bodies or prisoners!  Think of using overwhelming force for those facing the US military in all circumstances.  We must end this debacle sooner rather than later so we can resume living in peace and harmony with all of our neighbors.

End the foolishness now, and lets all join together to correctly end the violence, let the Iraq government take over to police themselves with our aid if needed, and get out in six months.  Or fumble and bumble about as we are.  Sending back a few troops here and there aids the turkey shoot mentality of the old west.  End the daily General Custard/Rumsfeld error (Identical situation with the same flaw; We are more modern than the opposition and thus can win with few troops.).  It is time to employ "Surround & Pound" (01-28-2007), today's strategy.

It is now perfectly clear, that together, using the outline above we can end the violence in Iraq and Afghanistan in short order with proper strategy akin to the General Ike Plan rather than the Custard/Rumsfeld plan.  Today our challenge is a horrific clean up mission against multiple fronts of varying religious and even foreign origins, which we can accomplish (our Democratic patriotic and humanitarian designs.) in short order, freeing our military to again, deploy for obstacles' and needs of today or those which may arise in a mixed up world.  We can do this friends, but we must do it together.    little guy

WHAT'S IT GOING TO TAKE FOLKS

Shortly after President Bush announced his new direction in Iraq, a brazen assault 50 miles south of Baghdad was launched on Jan. 20 by a group of nine to 12 militants playing dress up as US soldiers fooling three checkpoints to kill and kidnap our children fighting for Iraqis in Iraq.  They traveled in black GMC Suburban vehicles of the type used by US government convoys, had our American weapons, wore new U.S. military combat fatigues and spoke English according to AP. 

Clearly our Government is using the Inspector Clouseau method for protecting US soldiers.  "Contrary to U.S. military statements, four U.S. soldiers did not die repelling the sneak attach at the governor's office in the Shiite holy city of Karbala last week as we were told.  No, new information obtained by the Associated Press shows they were abducted and found dead or dying as far as 25 miles away."  This is heinous management of our soldiers in harms way and a complete investigation must commence. 

This daring commando team also took an unclassified U.S. computer with them as they fled with the four soldiers and left behind an American M-4 rifle, senior U.S. military officials said.  It has now been firmly established that two US soldiers were found in one of the abandoned SUV's handcuffed back to back and executed in a cowardly horrific manner, while one other soldier was found dead in another SUV finding a fourth child of America mortally wounded only to die soon under the best emergency care.

For over four years this Journal and its members have advocated either using overwhelming force in Iraq which in our view is "trying to accomplish the deed" or pull out due to a half hearted try which has killed and wounded too many of our nations loves.  What is it going to take for all of us to unite under the common sense approach of either we try to and subsequently quell the Iraq conundrum so the Iraq Government can easily take over, which would mean sending in overwhelming forces for the relative proportions, function under military strategic doctrine which would include a political solution concomitant with all activities so all actions meet in the final destination of a sovereign Iraq, and in control or stop the hypocrisy which is politically driven rather than intellectually.  Let us all join together for common sense answers to the difficult problems which face our nation.  And then move on to make this the best world it can be. little guy

As I look out at Christmas to view our world, I remember all of the Christmas past, especially during my youth, which were so wonderful and yes compared to the present world, like an imaginary dream.  And, not dreams at all. 

Yet, here we are, in a costly global and Iraq war, restricted in our options and choices.  I like options and choices.  I was taught in the US and believe in the US that, love is stronger than hate and forgivingness more powerful than evil or even war.  Truth is our salvation over time.  And always leave oneself options!

Wars are too long.  It’s causing the same effects as the Vietnam War.  Women killing mothers to steal babies through horrific butchering, bizarre spectacle violence on the airwaves with basketball players attacking the audience and each other, children executing adults, husbands dismember pregnant wives and own baby, senators of the republican persuasion hunting our children, predators on the rise, are the types of predictable symptoms I warned about over the last few years now.  The human psyche needs normal bounds.  Citizens around the globe are lost.  And, I don't necessarily like being right so often, either!

The boundaries of modern civilized behavior were breached a “bit” by our over retaliation, prison abuse scandals, massive number of deaths, a huge disproportionate numbers of dismembered lost hand, foot, limb etc injuries in this war because the primary weapons used are IED's or suicide deaths.  War against terrorism was indeed correct.  But almost a Trillion for Iraq?  Bush and his followers were, and are simply off.

In any event, now absent the consideration of our simply bringing law enforcement to the terrorists, it had to be done yet in a dignified humane manner in which not only they were either justly killed or jailed while simultaneously made to look like the lost, psychologically deranged small fools, the scum they became, embarrassed for their stupidity and so much more, which actually unveils the religious-zelot fraud and exposes themselves to the world as wrong, off tract, sinful and vile.

But no, we ended up hated around the globe by the little folks because they can see only a callous cold and uncaring entity who will rationalize publicly while 23,000 of their soldier children  become dismembered and handicapped for life, their one chance to have fun and live as the lord designed absent a Bush War handicap to cope with, concomitant with almost three thousand now dead sons and daughters of America to build a free land for others while steeling the freedom to live from our children, and by the end of the day, in the best case scenario have another partner who believes in hatred and subsequently death of their own peoples who are a tiny bit different to anyone who is different!  And that’s unacceptable to this little folk as obvious as it has become for foreigner little folks.  Folks must change from within psychologically, learn to love life, and appreciate the diversity of man's ideas as long as they are constructive, and progress medicine and science, mankind, freedom, hope, the right to have faith if one so chooses, try to live within our laws as created by the people and for the people.  Life should be geared toward the people and not the greed of the few or the tyranny of the terrorists.  Leaders must lead by example not vengeance!  Terrorist's who destroy society must be arrested (or captured if able...), arraigned, tried and convicted rather than our own self mutilation of our children's destiny used to over avenge that which was over.  Justice rather than vengeance is this Journals calling.  Albeit we as a nation have much to overcome especially while one large news conglomerate continues to advise the people only in the Bush directions guised in a package especially designed for you!  Almost a "Trillion Dollars spent" in Iraq with no dollar end point plan projected and very little in the way of new World Terrorist arrests since the end of the exceedingly efficient and effective short War!  Antithetically however, an equally bungled Iraq War aftermath relative to consistent absolute proportions.  Completely and unequivocally bungled.  Unequivocally, indisputably, indubitably, absolutely, and undeniably, bungled war aftermath!  And "you just cant make this kind of stuff up!"

My view of the world for Christmas, and hope for the New Year is we must become ourselves again, and prosecute this war like sophisticated Americans, at the top of the world evolutionary chain and not silly, outclassed imaginary cowboy folklore characters.  Some how, that is how we actually look to the world.

There is now one safe city within our great nation that one can eat in when you are too ill to make healthy contemplations about what your eat, about how your food is made, when your too busy to take the time to worry, or when your in need of a long and healthy life.  Consider moving to New York city; its its a heck of a town. Today,  New York  became the first city in the nation to ban artery-clogging trans fats at restaurants, leading the charge to limit consumption of foods linked to early death and disability.

New York City joined Taco Bell, Arby's, KFC and the American Academy For Justice through Science working toward the elimination of trans fatty acids in all of our foods.  The Academy for Justice sincerely congratulates New York for their all American stance by protecting our children and all citizens from foods which have been proven to be harmful to our nations health and welfare.  Congratulations New York. little guy

PONDER RELEVANT TEST QUESTION

A lady wishes to lower her LDL cholesterol.  An unfortunate quack alternative TO THE NORMAL COMPLIMENTARY care practitioner advises her to diet and cut out all fats but still eat carbohydrates. On the surface this appears quite reasonable to the lay person.  Yet, will she lower her LDL (Bad) Cholesterol? 

Dietary fat yield lipoproteins which become blood chylomicrons.  Yet Dietary Carbohydrates yield the VLDL's which in turn produce, IDL and LDL Cholesterol.  Because LDL comes from Carbohydrates construct and not Fat, this patient will then gain enormously high LDL cholesterol levels and obvious worsening disease consequences.  Care which was illegal just a few years ago, has become the modus operand for today's huckster bringing back the old mantra, Caveat Emptor or Buyer Beware; Folks be careful.

Well, can any reader opine what the most important job our Vice President performs?  What function does he/she carry out which is the most important act and the purpose for our Vice President?  It is to become president should some fateful event preclude our president from functioning any further during his/her term.  Clearly, Obama's choice for VP could step right in an make a great president.  His experience is second to none.  And then we now have McCain's choice, and I must opine that she hardly could have run for or become President in anyone's wildest imaginations save John McCain.  In fact, with that view only, Sarah almost appears humorous save she is a real human being with her own talents and abilities.  In fact no matter how good this newcomer to politics, she is hardly one which the people would have chose to be President, if they had been asked.  Pity.  Because if and when John were to become President, should some unforeseen event occur where John would be precluded from continuing as president, his actions have actually thrown our nation to the fates.   And that is and remains to be imprudent, demonstrates an absence of vision, and failed we the people, in at least one important reason to consider someone for the next Vice President of the United States. lg

After hearing Barack Obama's wonderful speech in Germany, this editor wanted to say Barack Obama for President!  But, he is running for president.  There is one thing which is certain, Barack can deliver a speech which is literally light years ahead of John McCain on his best day.  Will the republican sour grapes and foolishly jealous pundits find fault and weakness in a speech which was strong, realistic and not only historically correct, but spot on for the hopes, dreams and aspirations of people today?  Well of course.  Because they have become small like little children who have not matured and must nanner nanner because silliness and absence of wisdom is their privilege as children.  And as adults they have become embarrassing for any intellectual to witness.  Great job Barack Obama, you can make Americans loved again around our globe and in our times.  Good luck and great job. lg

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

Dear little guy,

I am a life long democrat who believes that the party is being poorly represented.  My parents would tell me just how tough FDR had to be to accomplish what he did.  Yet when I look out for help I find no one defending the principals of honesty in government, accountability, equity and the simple act of helping Americans first, symbolizing to me at least weakness in my Democratic representatives!  Lord knows the Republicans will try to impeach the next president simply because he is a democrat!  They tried to impeach the greatest president in my lifetime, bar none, and I believe Bill governed the way he did because as you write, he had a higher intellect.  I believe Mr. Clinton, with his faults, was much above any of the republicans. 

My first question to you is, "why are my Democrats so spineless in the face of the worst presidential catastrophe in our History?" 

No matter what our president touches it turns to crap while rampant graft and cronyism bring new profits for Bush related industries reaching all time highs while the working men and women, everyday folks as you call them, worry much about making ends meet to the extent that it becomes "all consuming" and then are unable to take time to help make change.  Or even write you as I have today.

My second question is, "why wont the Democrats impeach the worst president in our history?"

Thank you for writing.  In the past I would have said that "impeachment" was bad for our nation!  And because this is the old lesson from President William Jefferson Clintons experience, the notion lingers.  And Betty I truly believe that.  However that notion has worn out with all the absence of care for the dead on all sides, all the maiming on all sides, all of the anticipated death, maiming and destruction absent a conscience, resulting in our great American spirit arising akin to a new-age phoenix on gargantuan gossamer wings, granting us now, the "able patience" to make government whole again.  We can do it!

Antithetically, Mr. Bush's terms have been so bad for our nation; 911's horrific experience in what was for most Americans, a wonderful world Betty, a wonderful loving world absent all the racism, and then Bush's response which failed to simply catch Bin-laden, and the culmination of all of "juniors" efforts was to make our world a horrible, unsafe, unloving "planet" where racism has raised its ugly head because Bush taught the world you can rationalize reasons to expect several hundred thousand folks to die if one attacked Iraq, rationalize reasons for all our children to become maimed for life or die in what simple folks think of as patriotism but the apparent national interest is increased profits for big Oil and its service related industries, rationalize ties for future entitlements for Bush actions today, and frankly taught the world you can rationalize ones inactions in the face of Katrina and the other disasters, rationalize why President Clinton and Big All Gore were correct at protecting the social security lockbox at 3 trillion in solvency when Bush took that money and the fund is always being drained only to be solvent on a daily basis based on the days revenue, rationalize why on his watch he would send in our children to battle but first not secure the medical and hospital needs which would be anticipated when you send children to die, and rationalizations for sending only Hispanic-American police to jail if they arrest illegal trespassers while carrying enormous amounts of illegal drugs while setting the criminals free to maim and kill again all at the request of Mexico, rationalize why Americans who say don't spend our money on illegal's ignore the people and grant illegal's greater rights than citizens, or rationalize why crime of a heinous nature is now up in horrific crazed avenues as it has never been in our nation before, and rationalize away just about any problem with the same old tired saying that the other side is making politics while junior has made politics out of our very existence causing the great middle class to suffer and frankly too much more in this vein...

Thus, I believe perhaps save Kennedy, that the rest of the Dem's are just recovering from the shock junior put us all through and with the likes of that great American, in the vein of Rosa Parks "strength" the honorable John Conyers and with the honorable Charles Schumer apparently recovering first evidenced by his exemplary logic, concomitant with true heroes today, California Republicans who will remain unnamed for our intent relative to Dems, that Dem's are now undergoing a recovery akin to one going to the Doctor of Chiropractic where suddenly, the spine returns to health, and order and accountability may return in kind.

Relative to your second question, because our life in the US under junior and directly attributable to junior and his advisors actions is an "un-American environment absent basic civil rights as anticipated by our founding fathers", an impeachment hearing may at least occur because as you say, Mr. Clinton's experience set the standard and in reality, junior's actions made life miserable.  Conversely the honorable President Clinton first and foremost, was a great President by most folks accounts where the majority prospered and he made the world a loving place in which to live.  Relative to his one failure, he stroked folks ego if they were of the type to remain faithful to their love and subsequently wished for truth to return to the oval office never expecting a continual Bush and Bush representative barrage of untruths done consciously or unconsciously coming directly from the oval office and its surroundings.  However, your point is well noted, if the Dem's don't try to return order and sanity to our nation, it bodes poorly for the next presidency no matter who is the winner (Your favorite was W J Clinton, mine are John Fitzgerald Kennedy extraordinaire, Ronald Reagan all around good guy, Gerald Ford restoration of faith extraordinaire, and William Jefferson Clinton, a man who tried, in that orderRemember it was this Journal only that fought tooth and nail against the Clinton Impeachment (Remember Air force-one!) even though he was not my candidate.  Why?  Unlike Bush's actions, I never felt that his attempt to protect a woman's image, and perhaps three women's images raised to the level of an Impeachable offence.  In my God loving heart, I believe it is apparent the Lord is against "JUNIOR" and perhaps demonstrating it on his supporters who one by one have fallen by the wayside to protect junior.  If not, it's outside my faith and thus fate...).

THE EVIL REACH OF THE MULTI-HEADED MULTI-TENTACLE MONSTER MEXICO IS ELIMINATING HISPANIC AMERICAN POLICE

Last month this journal reported on the unbelievable act of injustice where "The American Mexican Hit man" enforced the heinous notion that all Mexican Americans must fear the reach of injustice even into America by the evil Mexican Government.  And the proof is it happened, Sutton responded and supported that evil monster to our south over his upbringing to support truth, justice, motherhood, apple pie, our US Constitution, and law enforcement over the pond scum of the earth; cartel drug dealer and kidnapped child smugglers.  Yet actual bigotry and evil profiling against one of our nations minorities occurred under Bush.  Get it now!  Bigotry against Mexican Americans by Bush's government and Mexico.  It is clear cut racism at its very worst; profiling American Hispanic law enforcement only!

How can we allow the evil tentacles of the Mexican monster to terrorize legal American citizens?  How can we allow Mr. Bush to continue to support an evil empire threatening and successfully breaking our law and enforcing Mexican law in the US by imprisoning any Hispanic law enforcement person who stops an illegal alien.  That is what is happening.  Bigotry and dirty rotten evil aimed only at Hispanic-American officers knowing the attack against a Bush look alike would be exposed.

Is President Bush and his AG in violation of Article Six of the Constitution as more and more US Law Schools study the issue? Did they allow Mexico to intervene and issue their supreme law over our land and people and have Sutton enforce said impeachable offence?  Indeed.

Mr. Sutton must be imprisoned for his actions, and all persons in support be impeached before hypocrisy destroys our nation.   Police, Border Agents, DEA, FBI, CIA, SS, FTC, FCC, Military Police and Sheriff's of Hispanic or Mexican American heritage remember, the Academy For Justice supports you.

Let's say that Bush gets whatever he wishes for which is of course as evidenced by outcomes disastrous for the American people. Yes disastrous for the maimed for life, unable to compete equally in our reality, and the dead.. .

But lets further say that the forces that be in Iraq today fully understand Bush junior's strategy and thus it makes it moot.  Now this is only a let's say rather than what is or what will be.  Ok, let us say then we need a counter strategy.  You see, even if Bush continues until the end of his presidency as is and no matter if he wins "a" peace during his term or the next presidents, would it not be disastrous and thus reasonable to assume that whomever Bush announced would follow us home is and has concomitant with his slogan and that it is only a waiting game on their part for us to pull out?  Especially with our wide open borders.  With this common sense realization, then whether we stay the course or not no longer is a key consideration in winning the war on terrorism.  In fact, America could do equally well with either course at this point because only a nation willing to secure its place, will!  Further Bush was instrumental in having elections and an Iranian leaning person was elected.  And thus even we leave, absent having a democratically leaning person in charge, there is no guarantee Iraq would not be a haven for our enemies.  Had we won the day with enough troops years ago, Bush's wishful thinking would have had some expectations for success.  But now we have to be smarter as you must admit by now that Bush has been and continues to be bated by the insurgents especially Iran.  What planet are your advisors from and its time to ask them to leave our hood!  In other words the way out of the mess is no longer military only.  The military is simply a pacifier at this point and wasting the blood of America is wrong. 

Of course as history now demonstrates the Academy position was correct from the get go on troop numbers and results.  However you have the military fighting a "spy's" game, you have broken the heart of your own spy agency sir, and had distanced yourself from a political solution.  Thus, let the generals continue as is for now, bring all the power of the Dem's in which I advised months ago, to come up with a spy and political solution backed by special forces.  Why?  We learned any time we wish and within a few days this great nation has the power to overthrow and return to Iraq victorious at a moments notice.  And the insurgents know this but have been banking on the fact that "our president" simply never realized it nor used its card! Thus Bush for the first time in history lost America's trump card, "fear" by sitting their in Iraq stuck in the mud of the situation psychology in play.  We must change that situation psychology and if Bush continues the way he is it can never happen.  Waiting games are for losers unlike all generals that served prior to your presidency.  Its time for action in a united way. Bush and his hit men network divided America.  Try uniting Americans (only focus on legal Americans from now on...) and watch the genius spill out of our rich heritage.  Sadly today there are many brilliant though spineless Dem's if Bush would simply listen.   If Bush changed, the world would change for the better.  But change starts at the top and the President of the United States is the top officer on this planet.  Thus our president could begin acting like the powerful world leader rather than someone who only knows how to send in the military like a big lug!  This was just let's say, so no matter what, let us hope the very best comes out for America and Americans.

Folks, there is a multiplicity of wrongs committed by junior relative to strategic goals.  The old saying you broke it you fix it is not exactly accurate but as the saying goes, one with intellect is to understand the severe warning by such a saying.  For example not only did junior break the Iraq Government System which is what that saying alludes to, he also broke the back of all the infrastructure within Iraq and Afghanistan; museums, roads, pluming, sewage, sewage treatment centers, water control for sewage and drinking, electoral grids, gas lines, underground structures such as aqueducts, phone lines and companies, sewer lines, libraries, every manner of business and trade, and as a result, junior must rebuild the entire nation as if 'it" were America!   Now ask where's the Dem's "beef"?!

Thus these morons have stole necessary money to rebuild these same infrastructure failures within the US due to old age.  Junior sacrificed all of the minorities and the poor citizens of America during Katrina and the other storms, as well as the Veterans Medical System as he secretly owns Iraq and Afghanistan (as well as adopting any country which plays upon his childlike inner character and acts nice like Mexico so he adopts Mexico over the US.  He acts like someone who needs immediate self gratification.) and thus all our extra money was used up or saved for future Iraq needs rather than spending the money on our own people.  Heinous examples of realty.  It actually happened and continues to happen!

No matter your position, you want to pull out of Iraq sooner rather than later or you want to stay the course, the American people, those vast hundreds of millions who never appear on Fox or CNN, the diminishing great American symbol of success the great middle class suffers horrifically from the Iraq/Afghanistan expenditures.  American homeland security and prophylactic infrastructure needs including the money to find secure voting machines, consistency in law (a poor cancer  women in California is being prosecuted by the feds for needing her medical  cannabis yet drug smugglers bringing in less than 500 pounds go free...we  have lost our freedom and common sense...) aid for our manufacturers when there is foreign government sponsored competition, and fair trade policies for our American industry who competes with the Chinese Government backed businesses rather than today's defined free trade which equates to American business competing with its hands behind its back and so much more it is as if we have not had a President for Six years....but oh there is Iraq as a junior reflex to 911!  So weird and so odd that crony businesses and friends of junior et al benefited superlatively while the poor and the middle class of America sank deeper and deeper into credit card debt, bad housing loans, and lost dreams.  The reality for hundreds of millions of Americans is that our own leaders are pathetic and  disgraceful.

Education  for our toddlers to our college graduates is hurting, the psyche of the American public has been damaged to the extent that heinous crimes are on the rise for the first time in 100 years under junior; kidnapping of children right out of the uterus of live women, pedophilia, and heinous crimes on a continuum of expanding events unanticipated by the normal expectations for life. 

The nation was left in such a mess that we appear to be left with zero choices for the next president. Lets face it, 100 million up front money just to begin the run for President.  Guess that leaves you and me out even if we had the right stuff to solve the nations problems and lead us to happiness.

Who will be the first from either side of the isle to speak forward and advance new and good ideas but condemn junior so common sense is recalled.  Once we regain common sense, we can begin to regain the hearts and minds of all folks outside of America.  Once we regain their hearts and minds, an ever diminishing number of terrorists will occur with it becoming harder and harder to recruit people for suicide which is a sin.  Only the arrogance of man believes he should interrupt the divine plan of living to your genes potential as planned by the lord prior to ones birth. 

Lets join the fight for common sense and stop the junior rhetoric which has caused almost irreparable damage to our world image, world stature, and homeland quality of life and security.

Well, this journal had found support by Obama done consciously or unconsciously as it was clear some two years ago, that the President of Iraq wanted our troops out.  Of course our popular president and all the Republican pundits, that would be Fox and CNN white washed the truth indicating that Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki only stated such matters as a political screen to remain popular with his people; in other words only humoring them, much like the republicans and their pundits do to the American people, and actually and secretly was supporting our popular President, as well as the republican line.  This Journal then and now consistently called this nonsense and actually became tired of fighting the political status quo.  For g-d's sake this editor is making a profession change which by all intent and purposes, is often the most difficult thing a person can do, especially if it is to undertake the most difficult critical thinking task, that of entering the field of "MD" medicine.  An awful lot on the plate so to speak.  When suddenly, along came Barack Obama, who has consistently called for a troop withdrawal from Iraq consistent with the voice of the Iraqi Prime Minister.

Well, during candidate Obama's ground breaking tour of the middle east, he and al-Maliki agreed on the pull out plan.  This completely abolishes McCain's positions as well as the republican line.  There is one thing I do disagree with Obama and Maliki on, and this is unpopular by the left, but it is histories truth, that "what the world needed now was not only love sweet love, but an American Base to support the fledgling new democracy".  Which history has proven 100 percent successful in all nations where such American bases were established.  Yes, reduce American troops to a conscionable level, give our soldiers a chance to recuperate from this unbelievable (Would not have been unbelievable if we had a larger military, but we were stretched too far by ethical standards of protecting and indeed proving our love for our soldiers in the field) Iraq war strategy. 

Antithetically, after we defeated Saddam's military, we tried to maintain the peace with too few troops as the entire Iraqi policing forces were demolished.  Another brain dead act.  So this Journal immediately called for increased troops, and indeed after this Journal hammered against Lou Dobbs nightly for supporting too few troops, (if this editor has the time, I will try to make the several years of his advocacy for too few troops in Iraq into a file which can be played on the internet), albeit he was far from alone.  It was years later that Mc Cain joined in our call.  And received his due credit as such.  Yet today, when the need is for far more troops in Afghanistan, albeit this journal would like to see them come from the world powers in lieu of our forces, they must be found.  Period!

This journal never liked the term surge as it is idiosyncratic of the  foolish policy and high death count bailed out by a word.  Yes the word surge was used to erase all the foolish planning, and indeed is being scapegoated for Afghanistan today.  Drop the word surge, and bring the necessary peace keeping forces for Afghanistan, while withdrawing needless and wasteful troop numbers in Iraq, while convincing Iraq's prime minister of the historical benefit for a Yankee Doodle Dandy base in Iraq.  Lets say there is a flair up of insurgents and Iraq needs help.  Well it would not cost an arm and a leg if we could simply fly supplies or manpower in to an established base.  Rather than re-inventing the wheel.  Finally, American bases have proven an economic boon for the countries in which they reside.  Ask Germany for example.

Thus, McCain and the republicans are wrong on keeping the volume of troops up in Iraq during the next two years, this is now a proven fact by the Iraqi Prime Ministers agreement with Barack, but we also need to establish a safety net for Iraq based on world history and the success of American bases around the globe.lg

Barack Obama for president is good for America, better than the best republican can come up with using all their hearts and all their souls.  You see, it's good for America to have an Afro-American President.  It proves to the world that we are what our founding fathers said we are in the words no other's have said as well in history, nor as well even today!  That "We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this...for the United States of America."  Why folks, that was for all Americans. "Done in convention by the unanimous consent of the states present the seventeenth day...in the year of our Lord".... 

Why our most cherished beliefs were by unanimous consent, under our Lord, and thus for all Americans.   We have in all of our hearts "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed."  Why if Barack Obama were President it would say to the terrorists, you lose your arguments of the most holy and sacred, because if your children grew up here, they could become president as well. 

No words uttered by any republican today could provide for such truths or establish such justice for all the world to behold.   A Barack Obama Presidency would take any ill winds out of the terrorists sails, and no Republican, based on the but-heads theory of war, which by the end of the day only proves, those on the side that remains alive with their forces intact is the winner;   His Presidency would remove cause for the ill of mind, the lost cause for hate, the belief that any prophet did not love all of the lords creations, which is what all religions share as well as our great American inheritance, "as all were created under g-d and indivisible... endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness".  Sure the profits made different promises, but all religious are humble under the eternal.  Above all hosts, the lord is who is the final judge and not any of his prophets, so cherished and so loved. 

For in our hearts lives the words "Four score and seven years ago, our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal".  Folks, that's "life" under the lord or in our existence, all folks created equal.  With Barack Obama as president, all the words so cherished in our hearts, so defended by "our soldiers" and free men everywhere across the globe suddenly become insured and a proven guarantee of our reality within "our society".  His election is bigger then he, and bigger than everyone but the union of "we the people...that hold these truths to be self-evident" and then proven by our American System and way of life, again dedicated and proven by a Barack Obama election "that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom -- and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth."  And all folks, around the earth, could share and celebrate in the proof that we are dedicated to equality, removing any stone in the path of peace, for all folks, created equally in our times and in everyone's reality or existence.  And done naturally, the American Way.  May G-d Bless "our" America, and may her promises be shared by all. little guy

Last evening sometime after 10, while watching the very patriotic Rachel Maddow Show, she had a guest who began to um between thoughts.  Consistent with my speaking style absent um's and drilled into me by my grade school teachers, immediately the channel was changed to Mr. O'Reilly,  To my surprise his show was terrific!  He was funny, witty, but as predicted he had one of the other Republican News channel guests.  Oh boy this examiner thought, here we go again.  Another Hannity-like show.  It was Glen Beck.  Now this examiner had heard that Glen Beck had changed from a normal journalist to a Rush Limbaugh wannabe to get his ratings.  But do to his time slot had not had the opportunity to evaluate him.  To my surprise he was a gentlemen, was funny, and both Bill and he agreed with my published opinions on folks taking Tarp who then must abide by tarp rules.  To me this is wrong.  Let these fools go bankrupt so that a better business will immerge.  This has kept American business the best in the world.  However, the bailout experiments take us into the unknown.  However and again, they both agreed with this examiner and even President Obama's recent decision to ask those executives who take taxpayer dollars to then follow the evolving Tarp rules and cut their compensations while being employees of the "we the people".  This examiner was impressed by both.

Of course to my dismay, Mr. O'Reilly then went into his dumbest events of the week section which was in and of itself dumb with this gal making dumb faces which of course brought this examiner back to Rachel.  Rachel advised how only the alleged news but really talk shows like Hannity, Beck etc were the problem as they were anti-US Government , never gave constructive criticism but rather said awful awful things directed at Mr. Obama and our own flag (government).  Where by she gets the Patriot award from the most patriotic designed site on the globe, which Dobbs, O'Reilly, Hannity etc all copied years after my developing this format , and in fact Dobbs and O'Reilly copied me to become independents years after this editor had.  But the point is I was happy about O'Reilly as the guy does stuff with class most of the time, and was shocked that Beck seemed kind of ok by me!

We (my lady and I) fell asleep and forgot to turn off the TV.  Suddenly in the middle of the night I was awoken by someone howling, speaking so fast it sounded like a hyperactive retard, and I sat up to see what the very anxious, hyperactive idiot was talking about.  The first thing I noticed was it was Glen Beck!  He was ranting and raving, lost his cool throughout, seemed classless, and anti-American.  This was the same guy that just hours earlier had agreed with commonsense that the tarp was bad, but if someone was to take it they should abide by tarp rules.  He also echoed my now 12 year published fight to protect our borders and ports (When I ghost wrote the Book Tales of the Rails, Railroad Claim Stories by Norman Udewitz-Arbitrator for the Association of American Railroads to resolve disputes between the Canadian National Railroad and the Canadian Pacific Railroad and many other disputes about land and writes between Canada, the US and Mexico etc)  for the head of Claims and Investigations for then Union Pacific Railroad , I had learned the importance of guarding our ports since railcars take goods from the ports and send them through the nation).  Further since my Home was along the ocean in Palos Verdes, I was close to the Port of San Pedro and dirty bombs were always a point of discussion.  My friends and I had discussed issues that were far ahead of our times.  In any event these were important issues which remain unattended to, through this very day.  Beck had brought up the issue of Republicans failing during the Bush administration to actually secure our borders proving they were weak on national security.  Beck sounded good.  Now, on his own show he was horrible.  This examiner turned the TV off falling to sleep wondering what idiots watch him to give him his ratings.  With that disappointment, this examiner realized Mr. O had a "chameleon" on his show, and that earned Mr. O the pinhead award for this week.  Well, could it be that Fox news ratings are simply folks who don't have a life and thus probably don't even come out to vote anyway evidenced by the fact that for eight years and still today, Hannity and his guests predicted the downfall of the Dems party only to be crushed in the election.  Proving they have zero credibility. 

But heck folks, there is always a soft spot for some part of Fox as they have a great sports viewing channel, of course on a different cable number, which probably is what brings them viewers who must be as shocked as this examiner is.  And thus the reason for this weeks Weekend Words segment.  The first quote is to remind any president that the news will go on once they are gone.  And the rest are to remind all journalists, that we must maintain the truth, limit our opinions to segments noted to be our opinions, and to never fall into the trap that Fox News Cable Channel did which is to mix excellence in news such as Sheppard Smith with the rest who truly sound like chirping old hens, anti-US government, motivation for this nations enemies, and truly out of touch with mainstream America.  For example, when my Republican supporters asked me to post their tea party photos, this examiner had no problem as these folks are not only some of the toughest guys I ever met, but the most generous and have some of the biggest hearts in this nation.  But lets face it.  With so many folks in our nation, although it may look like a lot of people, I would bet you dollars for donuts, that if another Presidential election were held today, the same super masses of folks would turn out for Mr. Obama and the perhaps 1/5 of Americans who identify as republicans would turn out.  Kemo Sabe?  Sure that's many millions for the Republicans but is about 1/5 of that which would vote for Mr. Obama.  Which also tells the Obama team to begin anew, stop worrying about nothing, and get on with the business of the Day.  What is that?  The most important things to Americans today employed or unemployed is jobs! Not health care, not wars, not Fox News shows that are just opinions of a few guys who lost an election and suffer from sour grapes, but Jobs.  It's time to pull out of Iraq, close Getmo, bring money home to spend on new highways, bridges, underground plumbing and electrical wires, building protection for our ports and borders, refunding USFDA so we are safe from toxic foods, drugs, cosmetics, toys, etc, and funding consumer protection rather than business.  Remember business has remained alive and well absent bailouts for over 200 years, and Mr. Obama need not reinvent the wheel with any more bailouts.  Folks cringe when you say Cit should go bankrupt.  But what they should cringe about is messing up a system created by our founding fathers for the people, which has stood the test of time and will remain long after the current crises becomes ancient history. 

Antithetically, the moral of the story is that we need to support independent candidates who are conservative when its correct, liberal when its correct, or centrist when its correct.  For it is never correct to be at one end of the spectrum.  Remember in the middle on a spinning object in space is gravity, where at the ends or the Republican and Democratic ends so to speak, it would be uninhabitable.  Lets try to keep America in the center.  And for this weeks pinhead, lets not always through Mr. Independent, Bill O'Reilly in with the rest of his companions as he is the best Fox news has, and often can put on a solid interview such as that which he did with now President Obama, and does often when he stays out of the fray of supporting today's elected Republicans who as we now exposed, actually supported Halliburton over the American-Girl, over rape of a patriotic women who was drugged.  Anti-American folks.  Just remember that along with "no bailouts for Bunco" we as a nation, with all our faults will overcome, and by the end of this chapter will win the day.  May the eternal continue to Bless America.

Heck, albeit a huge Rachel Maddow fan (One of if not the best looking mind on the airwaves), lately this editor thought after studying, usually 11:00 pm-1:00 am I would try again to look at an old favorite from years past, many years, the Republican Network.  But poor Hannity still has his guests like the um oh poor speaker Michelle Malkin (Can't listen to anyone who failed grammar school and um's their way through speaking) and of course his invented news, albeit with MSNBC's line up with Mr. Experience himself, the old Hardballer el al, its hard to fit Mr. O'Reilly into the schedule albeit again he runs stories and asks his guests about the make up stories Mr. Hannity and others create which is oh so boring.  However below this editor questioned MSNBC's characterization of nutty Republicans.  Well "they just did not make that stuff up".

As all of you know because its already been on the news 30 Republican "nut-jobs" voted that Halliburton be exempt from prosecution for its ownership of employs who raped a gal for being patriotic and kind of lovely.  Well let me tell you a story.  When I was a boy, I had earned a black belt in Judo by age 11 and was state Champ for AAU tournaments held at the YMCA.  By 12 I had my green belt in Juko Ryu style Jujitsu.  But then and even today, I have the look that any man wants to fight and feels confident until suddenly under a second their eye is hanging from their retina out of its socket etc (That's basic 14 ways to remove the eye from its socket orange belt level Kenpo, as I took Kenpo and rose through and past only to win a world title at the Internationals for the 40 and over age light heavyweight group although I did not fight in the Sunday Kumite where all champions from the different weight classes and age groups fight for the one best Champion. Basically because when the International Karate Association nominated me to go to the internationals to represent their organization in that weight class and age group, they never informed me about the Kumite.  Thus your editor did not know that I had to register for it!).  But to continue I have the look of someone any bullies on the planet would find easy prey.  Especially with my glasses!  That's life.

However and again, when I was in junior high about 13 or so, I was kind of thin and always wanted to be the dragon and never the tiger,  which means its hard to get me to fight; very hard.  One day a 6'5" 240 lb. football line man upper class (senior high) made advances at beautiful Julie (last name left out to protect the innocent) and when she rebuffed him he punched her in her back.  Being kind of small and known to not fight, for some reason I was the only one who walked up to ask why she could not stop crying.  She asked me to look at her back and she pulled up only the back of her blouse to expose a huge welt!  Something in my heart broke.

The next day at lunch, Mr. Big guy and his pals were rousting some of us young kids by tripping them in the lunch room so they would lose their food.  Your editor walked up to Dave, and said, "laugh now sucker and pick up your teeth later", something I learned hanging out at my Uncle Barney's (trainer, cutman and big wig in Golden Gloves and Professional Boxing) Gym, the Northwest Gym, where he and others trained professional boxers (My uncle had one who fought for the heavy weight title, a 6'6 Big Jim Beatty who I always believed style was emulated later by Mohammed Ali, and who almost beat Sunny Listen for the World Heavyweight Championship of boxing but after five rounds of winning was knocked out in the 6th round with a haymaker sucker punch!  Further two of my foster uncles, Al Tichler and Erin Lanzmen ((Parents died fighting in World War II and were raised from babies by my grandmother and trained by my Uncle who's day job after the Marine Corp was Vice President of the American Tool Corporation.)) became state Golden Glove Champions as well.).  Big Dave got violently angry while I became alert.  As he throw his punch from way outside, I was able to step forward (inside fighting) uppercut him right under the jaw, knocked him silly and as he was in the twilight zone placed a standing sleeper on him and as he fell pushed him into the large trash can.  I then put his legs up into the can and shut the lid.  Just then a kid in my class called the "home wrecker" because he broke so many girls hearts, jumped up to sit on the trash lid and said the Vice Principal is coming.  Well he did, looked around, everything was normal, yelled to the "home wrecker" to find a chair and left.  Later that day I saw Julie and advised her "that was for you"!  She then invited me to a senior high cheerleaders party and taught me a few things about life!  "Uh oh....".  No one every picked a fight with me that I can remember after that albeit there was a fight in the cat walk every day after school (Cat walk was a sideward cut between blocks so students like myself could walk home absent having to go up to the corners)

Well this editor is like every one of the old American guard.  Women and children first.  30 Republicans would get their ass kicked if any of the world war II heroes like my uncle (Marine Fighter Pilot and heavy weight boxing and judo champion of the Marine corps during World War II) were around.  30 republicans voted against womanhood and voted for rape; unconscionable and against everything this American was brought up to believe was right about Americans. 

But then it gets worse.  Three nut-job republicans voted to eliminate any consumer protection against Bank abuses (voted for no bank regulations or regulators!) which would doom us to relive the financial failures caused by the Bush-Cheney objectives which left this nation on its knees begging communists for money, with two wars they started needlessly which they did not win and never caught the perpetrators of 911, which occurred on their watch.  They were so weak they allowed us to be attacked, failed and then abandoned the American people during and after Katrina.  And "you just can't make that kind of stuff up!"

Finally, yesterday our President did what this editor had asked, and focused on the likes of Citi Bank the "no bailouts for Bunco King of banks" and asked that their executive pay be limited as long as "we the people" are now owners.  And thus, perhaps there are nuts in the Republican party.  Why one female loon from Minnesota actually called out my vote for President against Bill Clinton, Republican war hero extraordinaire.  In summary, there still are loons running the republican party, republican voters you must elect new republicans and get rid of the entire bunch of cowards who prey for green poultice rather then the blessings of the eternal, and even still today go to church as hypocrites while calling for torture.  Just an update on this editors position.  May the eternal continue to bless America.

Why heck, can't any folks remember that the Banker was always the friend of small business, or the aid to the middle class.  Without the friendly neighborhood Banker the middle class could not pull themselves up by the boot straps to higher designs and well made plans.  By gosh by golly, Chase or JPM Chase has gone bonkers, not Bankers, but just bonkers.  While minding my own business, I had a wonderful paypal card which was always paid off days of its use.  It was bought out by NMNB then by Washington Mutual.  All gave good service and a page where you could check your fico score, and tips and mechanisms to improve such scores and truly much service as would be expected by a large bank.  However by the time Washington Mutual had owned the service, one learned changes usually via two ways.  Either by receiving a new card in the mail or noticing extremely high rates, often 1/3 in interest on cash advances.  Of course you could call and it would be reduced by never to lower than 20 percent.  And this editor wrote a piece to document for historians the significance of bad banking and using the public in an unwarranted manner.  Just to give these trade practices a time stamp.

Well, to make a long story short, recently I received notice that my Wamu card now JPM Chase would be actually charging 1/3 of the cash withdrawal!  Use a bank card as your walk in bank and pay 1/3 of the transaction for doing business with US bank JPM Chase.  Thus this examiner called to inquire these matters and why their site had been dysfunctional Sunday, could not log on without massive delays, and why a payment I scheduled for Monday was being processed on Tuesday?  During this conversation I was advised subsequent to query that my card had gone back up to 31 percent and change?  When I explained I had been through this and would like to know why my rate went up so radically, I was advised there is no longer any record of such previous negotiations and transactions, and that to reduce one's rate one would automatically be notified.  In other words the public has now lost the ability to speak with their Banker and were rewarded with a rule "were out of the business of banking simply loan exploitation", or so it seems.  But to make things worse, you can opt out of the 1/3 auto charge to interest rates which could not be guaranteed to be less than 33.3 percent.  And the final shoe was that sometime in March, ones now 10 year old card and great history and great services would be moving sites to JPM Chase, and that the fico check, monthly average fico score, and ways to help you improve your credit page will be removed. 

Now folks, "you just can't make this stuff up".  But worst of all, this is an American Bank, who purchased a great product with worsening rates, who removed what good services one received especially in the area of educating the public on how to be sound home-bankers, and monitor and improve their fico scores, all with the enhanced charges per month on cash withdrawal which were considered far out of the range of reasonable and customary trade practices then, and now lacked rational and responsible Bank actions on the part of JPH Chase Bankers, Bank representatives or even electronic bank consumer systems.  I have to tell you, that when I was young Americans would make jokes out of the types of Banks that would be found in Russia, China, some in Europe and even the middle East.  Yet in my life time, I witness banks which offer services which go beyond the act of reasonability when making profit off interest while promising the best in Banking advice to manage our money, mechanisms to improve the banking consumer, or services which were part of a proud tradition in Banking, yet rendering now extinct services and egregious cash advance interest rates and with the famous and obvious "fishy smell test" positive permeating the air of JPH Chase.

Who felt it was more important to rebuild Iraq then support good old American folks, American elderly, American sick, suffering, poor, ill, weak, disabled Americans, our children, our business and commerce or our infrastructure?  George W. Bush. In fact his invasion and occupation of Iraq have wasted our nations blood and national treasures absent stopping the cause of the efforts; 911.  Think about the facts.  Almost 4,200 Americans have died, and more than 30,000 have been wounded. Our nation spent more than $800 billion on the Iraq effort, with estimates of the ultimate cost as high as $4 trillion!  Four trillion gone and so went our economy.  Kemosabe?   Who said and even pledged to capture Osama bin Laden "dead or alive" and failed?  George W. Bush.  Who's father was watching the 911 attacks with a bin Laden, and then arranged to have all bin Laden's flown out of the country that evening?  George W. Bush's father.  Who does it seem never really wanted to capture Osama and spent all our nations money and energies on other wars for acts caused by Osama?  George W. Bush.  Who completely dropped the ball on the war in Afghanistan leaving us in a new quagmire if we stay?  George W. Bush.

Who motivated and allowed Lunatics to run amok in our own Hemisphere?  George W. Bush.  Who motivated Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez to thumb his nose at our nation while profiteering of oil and gas through its US gas stations?  George W. Bush.  Who motivated and allowed Chavez to finance leftist, anti-American governments which have now taken hold in South America?  George W. Bush.  Who took his eye off the ball like no other president in History (Remember the Monroe Doctrine?) which is causing Mexico to fail and parallel a narco-regime?  George W. Bush. 

Who completely turned a blind eye to the American people when he demonstrated at best a lethargic response to Hurricane Katrina?  George W. Bush.  And thus who broke the republican bond with the American people?  George W. Bush.  Who took his eye off American Business and abandoned Leman Brothers causing a financial run on financing and allowed the housing bubble to burst?  George W. Bush.  Who allowed the largest national debt, and national trade deficit in US History.  George W. Bush.  Who then is responsible for our economic meltdown while turning a blind eye to unfair banking practices which continue today?  George W. Bush.  For example did any of you notice that your low interest credit cards suddenly charge between 20-31 percent interest if you take cash out of a cash machine?  Or if the needy should miss one payment their cards suddenly charge enormous rates rising from 6.99 percent to 28 percent?  During whose watch did this all occur?  George W. Bush.  During whose watch did zero percent equity mortgages and Wall Street financial practices motivated by greed and unsound business sense occur?  George W. Bush.

And finally who ended laws protecting folks constitutional rights, spied on Americans, took away habeas corpus, created The Guantánamo Bay Detention Camp and who allowed torture of humanity no matter how wrong the fiends were?  George W. Bush.  It is time to renew our constitutional rights, and again become the mentor for the world or the example of truth, justice and yes, the American way of life.  Lets face it, the stooges have now left Washington, but have left poor President Obama holding the bag.  They set him up and folks must all demonstrate their patriotism, join President Barack and work toward ending any wars draining our economy, return to cold war strategies to end terrorists regimes, end narco-regimes, end leftist movements in our hemisphere, and walk the extra mile for America.  Bush leaves Washington, hip hip hurrah, hip hip hurrah.  But now its time to role up our sleeves and act like Americans again. little guy

Well, Bush did not want to be hated by everyone after all.  Can you beat that?  Just when most folks were sure that the worst president in our experiential history simply wanted to be hated by most all folks, he chose second best and commuted the sentences of the two obviously innocent bushwhacked federal border agents.  President Bush decided to commute their prison sentences because he believed they were excessive and that they had already suffered the loss of their jobs, freedom and reputations, a senior administration official said.  And that is at least true.  If you remember it was more important to cover a drug dealer who promised to snitch on his superiors which he never did, and in fact continued to smuggle drugs even during the hearings making a mockery out of the US justice system during our current presidents watch.  But something reached his heart and he heard the cries of all the people including most senators and congresspersons.  If you recall, the act which caused all the trouble was that when the Agents found that "if they fired their weapons as good law enforcement folks should when indicated, then they would be held under the same law as if a dope fiend had fired on law enforcement"!  Panicking under the pressure of the stupidity of the times, it appeared to be a cover-up when it was all a misunderstanding due to a misapplication of the law against law enforcement personnel.

They were convicted of shooting admitted drug smuggler Osvaldo Aldrete Davila in the buttocks as he fled across the Rio Grande, away from an abandoned van load of marijuana. The border agents argued during their trials that they believed the smuggler was armed, and that they shot him in self defense. The prosecutor in the case said there was no evidence linking the smuggler to the van of marijuana although he was smuggling drugs across the border even during the trial; inconsistent but consistent for the Bush era of justice.  Thus, this editor seriously applauds President Bush for doing the second best act or at least get a passing B- grade on this one.  Congratulations President Bush. little guy

The Center for the Study of Law, Science, & Technology at the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University will host an international conference on April 3-4, 2009, in Tempe, Ariz., on the future of forensic science, with special attention to the highly anticipated report of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences, "Identifying the Needs of the Forensic Sciences Community."

 

In addition to experts from universities such as the University of California, Berkeley, Harvard Law School, the University of Michigan Law School, the University of California, Irvine, the University of Virginia and ASU, among others, participants will include state and federal judges, the NAS committee chairmen, the president of the American Association of Forensic Sciences, directors of the FBI laboratory and the Innocence Project, and prosecutors, defense attorneys, forensic scientists, and criminalists. Papers will be published in the ABA-ASU journal, Jurimetrics: The Journal of Law, Science, and Technology, and in the Oxford University Press journal, Law, Probability & Risk.

 

As part of the conference, The Honorable Harry T. Edwards, Senior Circuit Judge and Chief Judge Emeritus of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, and co-chair of the NAS Forensic Science Committee, will deliver the annual Willard H. Pedrick Lecture. The title of Judge Edwards’ talk is, “Strengthening Forensic Science in the United States: A Path Forward.”

The eternal works in mysterious ways.  This student of medicine prays perhaps more often than Chiquita has banana peals or Bayer has aspirins.  Yet right at the end of my first elective in Vascular Surgery I became very ill and my malpractice carrier went bankrupt.  It was beyond me how such things would cause me to pause for respite from my surgical studies.  Once recovered and after securing a new malpractice carrier, fate had it that I was to be trained by two new surgeons during my core surgical rotation because one great surgeon had just come back from recovery from an illness and our group was too large and had to be split between the two.  Thus your editor had to move to the new group.  Today, again after assisting both surgeons and the first surgical assistance who is also a physician and surgeon, and after assisting several times last week, it became clear  what the lord had in store for me.  One could not have a better surgical learning experience than to be lucky enough to have studied under no less than three surgeons, learn their unique talents albeit to a students degree, but yet this experience could be interpreted as second to none.  Of course my age would preclude me from becoming a resident surgeon during a residency selection do to utility of the concept of achievable goals, but no matter the specialty which fits this soul the best, such surgical experience will make me the best physician and surgeon or medical doctor I can be.  "And you just can't make this kind of stuff up!"

Of course being human with my own unique failures and talents perhaps I can not demonstrate to these three how much appreciation I have for their clerkship training.  But I do know that by the end of the day or my clinical clerkships, I will be a chip off the old block so to speak and make each and every one of them proud that they took the time and allowed me to study under them.  These surgeries are fascinating, life saving in many cases, eliminating the most vexing medical woes of the patients we serve, and indeed humbling to this medical student.  I can only thank them in the way this editor knows how by paying tribute to them today and state the lord works in mysterious ways.little guy

Thank you for your interest in the American Academy For Justice through Science, and it is good to hear from you again.  The American Academy for Justice through Science for many years now, within our nation and around the globe for that matter on a case by case basis, has represented and stood for precisely that which the name defines; Justice accomplished through the principles of Science working with mankind’s developing laws. 

Our Mission Statement follows

“Bill Casey, the distinguished past director of the CIA, once suggested that the worst thing about his business was that he could never advertise his successes. This is also the case in the area of health fraud research1. In the research of hucksterism, or fraudulent case review, often those that have violated the standards of care, as they are developing in the United States today (and especially now, in the new century) have committed civil and frequently, federal crimes. But, if a Certified Fraud Examiner outlines his successes in liquidating proponents of a fraud in lecture or through written formats, then copycat imitators will surely commit the fraud. This wipes out success and increases fraud.  

Thus, many experiences and triumphs over illicit and diabolical health schemes, illicit insurance billings, or even over, fraudulent-insurance, corporate "BIG- BUSINESS" techniques, for that matter, have remained as forgotten history. This situation, then, allows the nation to relive the past. We, as a nation will never completely climb out of the depths of rampant hucksterism and blatant fraud; because we continue to relive or re-experience the same old fraud schemes guised in new costumes2.  

Even the judicial system, which was devised prior to modern science, has become out-dated and ill-equipped to deal with the wily murderers and thieves of today. Thus, is the reason for the founding of The American Academy for Justice through Science? In science, we believe that the burden of proof is on the proponent of the fraud, malpractice, Rico etc. In law, the proponent is innocent until proven guilty-the Golden Thread of Democracy. Further, with today's applications of laws, seasoned veterans in the area of anti-fraud cannot become involved until someone dies. Thus law and science must work together but under their own tenets. It is our mission to produce scientific case studies on past work accomplished, so that today's court system will have a ready source (absent $300-$600 per-hour fees), and gain scientific knowledge, so that all of the judicial system can continue to work in harmony and stop senseless injuries, fraud, waste, abuse and violence before they happen, by demonstrating Justice Through Science.  

So was born The InfoJustice Journal, as a service to further the use of Justice through Science. With this service, you will be able to follow some of the most monumental case studies and lectures, and apply them to your own practice.

Healing our economy is rudimentary if we stop the go it alone mentality of our present administration.  Only through team or the working together of Independents, Democrats and Republicans can we recover from our experience with the Bush methods.  Republican pundits have began with "anyone who disagrees with us is not patriotic!"  Remember that set of years.  We have eliminated many basic freedoms with the promise of prosperity which has of course backfired to the extent of our economic woes.  Further, every time our nation lost money, the 20 billion in cash in Iraq for example, it tossed a dagger into the heart of our economy.  What kind of a moron creates wars where the costs outweigh the benefits?  Well, this examiner won't point fingers but this must stop.  Thus first and foremost we must stop the overspending on the war in Iraq!  This includes creating a mechanism of education for our troops so when they return as they have, they can find jobs and not be told they have no degrees, there only good at fighting with weapons or leading weapons into battle and end the war vacuum which has ruined a generation of citizens whose love of country was abused. 

Second of all we must stop the unilateral allocation of funds in the manner of our 750 billion dollar bailout.  Lets face it, we forced banks which did not need money to take it, and then gave money to needy banks absent in place rules and regulations for the utility of the funds.  And thus the program failed as they did not loan!  If we had rules and regulations for fund utility, transparency would be obvious.  For example, if an auto manufacturer said look, we have never in our nations history experienced that which our leadership has brought us to, then with oversight and rules and regulations such as a mandate for x amount of super fuel efficient cars, a mandate for x amount of alternative fuel vehicles, and a mandate for lets say a four year freeze on certain benefits promised prior to such a bailout, then our investment would improve each and every citizens economic situation while concomitantly healing our big three's woes.  One in ten jobs in the United States are related to our auto industry!  Lets say we had a patient.  Would you want them to eventually get well with the absence of certainty or would you want medical oversight for quick healing?  Of course you want your patient to get well as quickly as possible.  In other words of course business could eventually or someday work its way out of its problems through the business model but again they would most assuredly recreate the problems of the past which caused them to be unable to compete in the horrific environment created by our government such as the recently high costs of oil. 

Third, we must simply create a mechanism which would allow those who are employed to refinance their home loans to an affordable level until we as a nation get a handle on the present economic situation, and with a time line, so these folks would know when they would have to increase their payments and get back on schedule in a traditional 30 year or whatever their original time frame agreement. 

Fourth, with the money saved from ending wars or fight only to the level of fiscal responsibility, we could spend that money at home on a rebuilding of our infrastructure which will add new jobs for the poor and middle class. 

Fifth, we must give tax breaks to American business who manufacture within the homeland and employ Americans and tax those who manufacture abroad or try to hire anything other than Americans.  That includes a fee for companies who use H1 visas to avoid using American talent. 

Finally we cannot create any further burdens such as too large of tax increases on the citizens who are suffering the most, until we solve the issues addressed in this article.  In fact once these team methods are employed, perhaps we will see such a recovery that tax reductions could be in order.  But we must stop the go it alone policies continued through the 750 billion dollar bailout fiasco, and watch liquidity, improved transportation, improved infrastructure.

Absent the simple fix for housing, transportation, banking, war and most importantly a team effort in the new administration of Democrats, Independents and Republicans, we will continue to witness the floundering of our economy.  Kemo Sabe?  In my heart, it is this editor's belief that our president elect, the honorable Barack Obama is a team player, and will create an administration of Democrats, Independents and Republicans.  Again as in an article below, We must, indeed, all hang together, or most assuredly we shall all hang separately." -- Benjamin Franklin; 1776.  Folks, law makers and members we can do this if we all work together.  In fact lets try supporting our president elect and see if these measures create a new day of prosperity and friendship in our nation.  Lets stop the habit of the republican rhetoric which began at Fox news and has so permeated our nation that copycats simply treat each other poorly as if its correct.  Lets see who can be first to create positive ideas rather than all the mean spirited criticism.  Wouldn't it be a hoot to see Hannity or Cavuto offer positive ideas such as this editor has illustrated rather then using their abilities to find fault in humanity?  In fact it would be down right American!  Yet someone has to get through to Fox cable News because the truth is their programming is only interested in Republicans which is anti-American and basically a major negative influence to our population, to parents trying to teach team, education, sharing, or any of the principles which created a two party system which may become a three party system should Independents ever have a fair say based on the size or number of Independent citizens.  In other words Fox cable News pro-partisan programming is part of the problem.

It's team work, team work, team work and positive ideas which will solve our most vexing economic issues.  Look to the ideas of this report for the answers to solve our economic woes, and return our nation to prosperity, home ownership, business success and manufacturing. little guy

May our country be always successful, but whether successful or otherwise, always right (Our popular President Bush and the Republican Party, not the citizen republicans, were and are always wrong when they don't work in a team effort with the Dems and thus brought our country down down down to the level of 1942)...Wealth can only be accumulated by the earnings of industry and the savings of frugality (Our popular President Bush and the republican party have destroyed our industrial manufacturing base, exported manufacturing to foreign countries, and will destroy GM our largest manufacturer left by not having a bailout causing over 3 million auto assembly, several million GM dealership folks worldwide, two million rubber, tire, plastics and leather makers who provide for GM not to mention glass manufactures and the many millions of folks in these Ford and Chrysler related job losses become unemployed unable to make their house payments, pay any taxes and affect an estimated additional 30 million citizens in industries which relay on American Auto manufactures products and so forth...), Whoever controls the volume of money in any country is absolute master of all industry and commerce (Our popular President Bush and the Republican party gave away 750 billion to a few which can't help America albeit our best and brightest have joined this editor and our President elect to support GM such as Lou Dobbs and Jim Cramer) Next to the right of liberty, the right of property is the most important individual right guaranteed by the Constitution (The fact is our popular President Bush and the Republican party and Fox pundits including a few at CNBC have brought our nation down down down to the levels of 1942 and only want to be in office to have power and don't love America like the rest of us who love America more than life itself.).    Presidents John Quincy Adams, John Tyler, James Abram Garfield, William Howard Taft  May the "Eternal" save us from absence of team.

When our popular president George Bush and the republicans asked for your vote did you think they would take our nation from number one in manufacturing down down down to the level we produced in 1942?  When George Bush and the republicans asked for your vote, support and trust did you think they would take our auto manufactures down down down to the levels they were at in 1943?  How can any of you ever listen to Dylan Ratigan, Hannity, O'Reilly, Cavuto and all the republicans when our nation has gone from number one in the world in everything to the levels we were in during the early 1940's.  Frankly, it is time to tune out any Republican pundits, and listen to those whose actions demonstrated a positive for our nation, for our middle class, and for that matter all Americans.  Never, never, never listen to these folks if you care about yourself.  Just look around you, look at the loan crisis, the credit crisis, the auto manufacturing crisis, student loan crisis, mortgage crisis, Wall Street crisis, national debt crisis, national trade debt crisis and truly too much more.  Remember these folks get paid millions to give you bad advice and by the end of the day it really comes down to who made America better, safer, wealthier, increased homeland manufacturing, increased demand for made in America products rather than free trade gimmicks to bring great wealth to those that espouse such notions. 

It's time to let them all go, and get behind the honorable Barack Obama.  Many of these flakes have already blamed him for what Bush has and is doing?  Abraham Lincoln taught us, You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time especially now that our nations people are on food stamps, un-employed, struggling to make payments for education, food, drugs, cosmetics, and normal accoutrements necessary to simply survive.  If you think you detect greed expose it no matter the proponent.  Do it for yourselves and watch we the people come back to where we should be.  Of course this Journal is supported by many many republicans.  But even they are disgusted and cannot wait for the day their leaders represent kindness, courtesy, thoughtfulness, and have lost the harsh rhetoric which is now branded as Republican.  They tell this editor they long for the day of those that will cooperate and only through cooperation with Barack Obama will then be able to stand on their own do to the trust that they will do the right thing after having demonstrated team work and cooperation. 

Help the honorable Barack Obama save our auto manufactures, and for that matter any homeland manufacturer that will build within the homeland, and export from the homeland.  It is time for unilateral cooperation.  Mr. Obama is a thinker and a doer.  Join the three fourths of the electoral college which supported him, and lets rebuild our nation.  Stop the false charges.  The sign of a false charge is claims of what he will do before he even has done anything.  Dobb's come back to the fold as many independents are resigned to ignore you now that your nightly show claims, much like the Ratigan propaganda or Hannity propaganda that our good and kind president elect has done anything to harm when he is simply in the process of building his team. 

Lets all join hands and stop the blame game republican way and start the thoughtful progression of unity for success.  If you have a good idea send it to our president elect or your lawmaker from your state or district.  If we work together, complement each other and together, we will succeed.  "We must, indeed, all hang together, or most assuredly we shall all hang separately." Antithetically these truths are even more accurate and self evident today since there is so many of us.  Complement your neighbor, make the extra effort to help the young and the elderly, share as the eternal shared life with all of us and good luck will return to all of our industries, all of our government agencies and all of our trade.  Fight to be the first to help a fellow student, worker, citizen and we will overcome.  It is the way of our world.  Good luck. little guy

Did anyone notice that each time the nation and thanks to world viewers like Bush 1, Clinton and Bush 2, and now the world, loses confidence in the American Presidency, that the economy goes south?  Direct evidence suggests that initially when Jimmy Carter became quite unpopular with just over 1/2 the American people and the economy went into the tank.  President Reagan gave confidence to Americans and with his expenditures to build the Southern California Defense Complex which built the Stealth Northrop, our sati light defense from TRW and Hughes electronics and truly too much more in the way of pumping money and tax breaks into homeland manufacturing all gave the economy the lift it needed.  Then did anyone notice that after George Bush one dismantled the Southern California Defense complex transferring all the jobs to Texas, Florida New England and anywhere else he thought he would gain votes for his next run for presidency backfired causing a massive recession in California which ravaged Torrance, Lawndale, Gardena, Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach, San Pedro, with foreclosures akin to today through the Golden State concomitant with his read my lips statement of no new taxes and then raised taxes, our economy went into the tank. 

Clinton came along and did some interesting things.  Although it is true that we had approximately a 5 trillion dollar debt or 1/2 that of today, he also saved three trillion in what he called a lock box for social security which actually balanced the budget and in reality we were actually 2 trillion in debt.  This caused the economy to expand exponentially until he became a lame duct far too soon in his presidency due to his foolish lack of responsibility by letting all Americans down with his "little boy with his pants down" mentality.  The economy subsequently went somewhat south do to a lack of CONFIDENCE in our president.  Bush took over, dismantled any common sense mechanisms to oversea our markets, banks, credit cards and so forth simply akin to someone who was brought up with the notion should he fail, papa will always bail him out.  And thus, he has turned our government into a socialist and almost communist economic strategy which all presidents now passed away are rolling and rolling and rolling over in their graves.  He has made a hypocrisy out of our American inheritance in business, savings, understanding the simplest of notions relative to how our world actually works financially, and after his 750 billion dollar through away, the experts in finance around the globe, from New York to Berlin, from Los Angeles to Beijing, from Minneapolis to Moscow, from Dallas to Kuwait, from Washington to Saudi Arabia, the entire world has lost confidence in our popular President and his Republican party. 

Thus, should the honorable Barack Obama win, it is my belief that absent a taxation on homeland manufacturing and perhaps with implementation of his plan to reduce taxes on those that manufacture within our nation rather than going overseas, will again bring confidence back to our nation basically following the Reagan strategy, and our world business leaders will take a tad of risk again and our markets will then go higher.  In fact absent any major blunders economically under his initial presidency, this editor would opine that our markets and financial systems could suddenly heal and with new oversights in place to prohibit foolish business policies for the get rich quick schemers in any of the financial instruments, our nation could suddenly experience growth and investment value again.  Yes, if our global leaders were motivated they on their own and with normal business mechanism, could fix our broken markets, make rules and regulations which preclude banks improper business practices (preclude the foolish goal to take fees for sales while creating a sinking ship for the customer and the institution-a type of fraud.). 

Lets face it one by one, all Bush appointees and followers have had to take the poison pill rather than exposing the fact that they all acted in the orchestration of their leader.  Even Greenspan has now had to walk the plank while Bush gets to ride off into the sunset after having bankrupt our nation with his polices.  No matter who is in control of the congress, our problems with making war, making loans to the un-loanable and then selling such loans to Wall street, claiming that over 10 billion in cash was lost in the Iraq due to theft when it was payola to stop the fighting so they could claim the surge was successful, lowering interest rates which was good but did not provide normal and customary banking oversight so the money was lost and low interest rates initiatives were lost to essentially the equivalence of theft.  No oversight for fraud, waste and abuse. 

Heck folks, just think about it.  Under Bush we have experienced the greatest disaster relative to terrorism and attack against our nation in our history.  We have experienced the greatest disasters due to storms and government inaction in our nations history.  We have now experienced the greatest credit crisis, housing and banking failures, stock, bonds and their associated mechanisms losses since our great depression.  And we even attacked a nation that was not attacking us nor even claimed they would which was never done in our nations history.  Thus, it will be inconceivable that the next president will lead us into as many disasters albeit the road will never be easy for a president; quality or nice guy dunsil. 

There will be a greater day in our future.  Frankly, what we must have again is patience, dedication to sound business practices in trade and commerce, start with a new president who will not repeat the mistakes of our republican leadership, and our nation will rebound.  Lets see who is right; the chicken little one time followers of the failed polices and ideas who's evidence can be found in the largest number of varying disasters occurring during any presidents tenor, or my view!.  These polices also bred bad luck.  Lying (Something that makes me puke) has become endemic to our nations pundits and filtered down to the little people.  Why?  It is easier to fib then make sense.  And it is regrettable how time has proven that most folks are followers, most are negative and would make war rather than fight for peace, create go it alone policies rather than uniting our world on deeds and ideas to be implemented separately within nations rather than the idea of world uniting under one rule. 

Transparency, logic, support for our infrastructure, our education, our health, our homeland manufacturing, and then base stock values on this new age motivation to boom manufacturing and business within our nation to create a new vacuum of funds into our nation rather than us being the new age beggar who must borrow money to exist as the Bush model, and become self sufficient as outlined from the top.  Set good examples from the White House and watch the world heal!  Speak our language well as Obama does and watch the nation yearn to become more educated, watch an increase in science and math scores and behold the true power of the President of the United States.  Confidence in the White House will solve most of the woes which seam unattainable by those with a world view, yet absent a view of the total picture. lg

TIPS FROM THE GURU-THE GREAT PANIC OF 2008: OCTOBER 10, 2008

First, let’s start with the obvious: This is unlike any market meltdown I’ve seen in my career. That includes the 1987 crash, the 1990 invasion of Kuwait by Iraq, the 1993-94 utility deregulation scare, the 1997-98 Asian Crisis and the 2000-02 Great Bear Market and utility sector collapse.

There is one thing, however, that this collapse has in common with every one previous to it: crushing fear, which has now yielded to unbridled panic.
Up until about 3 pm on Thursday, it seemed as if the selling wave of the past few weeks had run its course. Bargain hunters were starting to venture into a growing number of stocks, and a lot of green was showing up on investors’ screens.

Then came the selloff of the last hour, which wound up carrying the Dow Jones Industrials down nearly 700 points. The selling wave then picked up steam in Asia, swept over Europe and began pounding the US again today.

In short, what had begun as a selling wave has now become a wholesale liquidation. Stocks, bonds, commodities, preferred stocks and mutual funds are being dumped en masse. Business fundamentals, solid earnings--such as Chevron’s preview yesterday--and even dividend increases are being ignored. And anything stock that’s not losing at least 10 percent everyday is considered an outperformer.

To be sure, there are plenty of reasons for concern today. The global banking system has been shaken to its roots, and lending largely remains frozen as the US contagion has now spread well
beyond our borders and well beyond anything to do with mortgage-backed securities.

This week, Iceland announced the government takeover of its banks. That effort was, ironically, aided by Russia, a country whose own banks have had to rely on government assistance and which actually closed its stock market this week.

As for the US economy, the hard economic news is still nowhere close to Great Depression-esque. Initial claims for unemployment insurance actually declined in the latest week, for example.  But the decline in consumer credit is a pretty clear sign that Americans are at last pulling in their horns a bit after years and years of unparalleled spending. If that trend continues, it will mean a contraction in all those industries that feed the consumer appetite, which could be quite severe.

The plunge in oil prices since mid-year, ironically, has also become a cause for concern. When black gold was pushing $150 a barrel, few envisioned a near halving of the price would be possible in such a short time. Now that it’s occurred, however, it’s becoming a real threat to the transition to a “green economy” and getting the nation off its dependency on imported oil. And every drop in oil’s price is another reminder to market participants that the global economy faces tremendous uncertainty in the coming year.

The best thing we have going for us now, of course, is that virtually all of humanity is on the same page on this crisis. And although there’s considerable variation as to tactics from country to country, there’s also a nearly unanimous consensus that the immediate solution is money.

Private sector credit markets remain frozen, as evidenced by still historically high spreads between the London Interbank Lending Rate (LIBOR) and the rate that the US Federal Reserve is currently offering banks. With so many bad assets out there and the economy slowing, banks are still terrified of lending to other banks. The Treasury bill/Eurodollar spread now sits at 452 basis points, near all-time highs.

Even companies in recession-proof businesses are having problems borrowing at decent rates of interest. This week, for example, Southern Company--the very model of stability in the electricity industry--reported that the interest rates it must pay to sell short-term commercial paper rates basically have doubled from earlier in the year. Duke Energy and others, meanwhile, have taken the extraordinary step of actually drawing down credit lines to ensure the money is there when they need it.

Central banks globally, however, have basically thrown open their coffers to all comers. In the US, Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson and Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke now have unprecedented powers to buy assets and push cash where it’s needed. Elsewhere, Britain this week provided a massive cash infusion to its banks, and other countries have been quick and decisive about doing the same.

Their actions certainly haven’t done much to calm these panic-stricken markets yet. But they do represent actions that are 180 degrees different from those taken by monetary authorities in 1929-30 as the financial panic of that era unfolded.

Authorities, in short, have recognized that the problem is money, and they’re increasingly willing to put all their resources to that end. Ultimately, that means the debasement of paper money globally and a major boon for raw materials, other hard assets and gold worldwide. For now, however, money is exactly what a credit-short economy needs--and it’s coming in increasing amounts.

Another big difference between the Great Depression and the current crisis is that there are still regulations and safeguards in place that were enacted in the 1930s to prevent bank panics.  Many of these have been dismantled over the past two decades by deregulation. But we still have the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), which now ensures all deposits up to $250,000. And it may be extended to cover all deposits in the coming days.

In contrast, during the Depression, the only recourse for deposit holders when a bank went bust was to physically try to pull their money out. Not surprising, that resulted in bank runs, which are well portrayed in movies depicting that era. You can only imagine the state of the global economy if we had seen full-blown bank runs after Washington Mutual and Wachovia went bust a few weeks ago, as deposit holders rushed to pull cash out of every bank in America. Happily, thanks to President Roosevelt and the FDIC, that won’t happen this time.

The FDIC isn’t the only Depression-era creation that’s proving its worth. The Federal Housing Administration (FHA) suffered years of neglect under deregulation-minded White House administrations. But it’s now making a major comeback. And despite the demise of AIG, investors can be confident in the safety of their annuities, insurance and brokerage accounts, thanks to regulations that segregate their assets from those of holding companies like AIG.

Sooner or later, all the money being pumped into the global economy is going to have its desired effect. In a sense, the action now is like a group on a camping trip trying to light a fire when all the wood has been soaked by a storm. The campers are ready, willing and able to dump all the paper, cardboard and lighter fluid to get the fire going. For a long time, it seems no matter what they do can spark things up. Eventually, however, it does light. And when it does, it quickly becomes a conflagration.

This weekend, I’m in New Orleans with my parents on their 60th wedding anniversary. That gave me the opportunity to talk with my Dad, who--along with my Mom--actually did live through the last Great Depression. That experience stuck with both of them through the years since. Dad has always been an avid investor in stocks, but his retirement is constructed on a basic principle learned by all who lived through the Depression: have a lot of different sources of revenue tied to many different things, some of which aren’t tied to the stock market.

With the Dow Industrials down triple digits for seven consecutive days--and well on its way to its eighth--I fully expected him to offer up some comparison to the Depression and why it made sense to be very cautious. In contrast, he’s pretty sanguine. He’s certainly not happy about the losses but convinced that “quitters” who liquidate and sell out now are going to regret their actions--and probably a lot sooner than they think.

Of course, when your underlying house is solid, it’s a lot easier to stay in the market as its crashing than it would be if all of your assets were in stocks, as is the case with so many investors. But here’s something else to keep in mind if you’re thinking about bailing today: Big declines are bullish.

In the early 1990s, I assisted an old friend of mine, Stephen Leeb, with his book “Market Timing for the 1990s.” One of the chapters addressed major, sudden declines in the stock market, their causes as well as their aftermath.

That the action in the market since early September 2008 has been sudden and extremely devastating is beyond dispute. And as I’ve pointed out above, the root causes and circumstances surrounding it are different from those of any other before it, at least for the data covered in the book.

The same thing, however, was true of every other market crisis we reviewed that hit Wall Street. One big thing they did have in common was a consensus conviction among investors that it was the end of the world and that things would never be as good again. Another thing: They were followed by mighty recoveries as the market psychology shifted dramatically.

I certainly didn’t foresee how bad things would get in this crisis. No doubt, many will come to the fore in coming days and proclaim that they did, just as was the case following the Great Depression. But the point isn’t what we should have done several months ago. It’s what we’re going to do now at this critical time.

Do we join the panic and liquidate our holdings, trying to avoid an even worse catastrophe ahead? Do we back up the truck and buy our favorites among the good businesses? Or do we just sit back with our current positions, shepherd the cash from big dividend payers and wait to see how this shakes out?

One of the reasons that big declines tend to be so bullish is they shake out all the excesses of the prior boom very quickly and dramatically. Like a skilled swimmer suddenly thrown into cold water, there’s a shock to the system followed by an adjustment. In a market panic, sellers are quickly shaken out, and what you’re left with is those who are focused on value--who won’t be shaken out.

Big declines also create slack in the overall economy. That basically means more room to grow without igniting inflation, which is the fuel for any bull market in stocks. Before this crisis, inflation had hit a 17-year high in the US. Now raw materials’ prices have come off sharply, and labor costs are certain to moderate as jobs become more difficult to find. Obviously, most of us would rather see more people working. But again, the point for the market is more slack and more room to grow.

When will this big decline end and the big recovery begin? That’s a question best suited for social psychologists. When I see the likes of Southern Company down 10 percent in half a day’s trading, it says to me that market emotion--in this case extreme fear--is in full control, and investors have thrown any semblance of rationality out the window.

And that’s far from the only example. Yesterday, Dan Duncan’s Enterprise Products Partners and TEPPCO Partners both increased distributions by a significant amount. That same day, however, both limited partnerships posted significant market losses, adding to their massive declines of previous days. Both are now less than half their highs of earlier this year.

They weren’t the only pipeline owning limited partnerships (LP) to boost distributions this week, either, as business after business continues to hike cash flows by adding fee-generating assets. Some LPs have faltered in recent months. But many more  a re having no trouble accessing credit, and revenues remain solid. They’re now paying their highest distributions ever with an average in the low teens, an historic spread relative to Treasury paper. And this is in the pipeline business, where cash flow is basically of utility quality and surety.

I’ve mentioned several times in recent weeks that energy was vulnerable both to a slowdown as well as a revival of the market panic. That’s certainly proven to be the case recently, as a drop in oil prices has triggered a full scale panic out of any and all energy-producing stocks, LPs and Canadian income trusts.

Chevron’s announcement yesterday that its third quarter earnings would match expectations didn’t stop its stock from being pounded today. In fact, Super Oils across the board have been falling 10 percent or more a day. That’s despite having more cash that most governments and the fact that lower energy prices present a welcome opportunity for them to buy assets and further boost dominance over the industry.

With Super Oils in free-fall, others in the industry surprisingly haven’t been pounded even more. One group I follow closely is Canadian income trusts. This week, I compared their current share prices to where they traded at the low prices for oil and natural gas this decade. That was a little more than $18 a barrel for oil and $2 per million British thermal units (MMBtu) for natural gas.

What I found surprised me. Basically, even the strongest trusts such as ARC Energy Trust and Enerplus Resources are trading where they did when oil was at $25 per barrel and are fast headed back to levels held at $18-a-barrel oil and $2-per-MMBtu gas. Buying them, in other words, is like buying oil again for $25 a barrel.

In addition, income trusts have basically been stress tested for nearly two years, since the Canadian government ruled they would be taxed as corporations beginning in 2011. That ruling included strict limits on the number of shares trusts could issue, basically forcing trusts to rely on their own resources. Some failed, but the survivors have basically been stress tested.

That’s definitely what I take from Advantage Energy’s announcement on Monday that it’s increasing its capital budget for the rest of 2008 by 25 percent--hardly the action of a player in a credit stressed business. Trusts on the whole also treated the surge in energy prices earlier this year as a one-time windfall rather than a new pricing floor. As a result, they used the cash to cut debt and expand drilling projects and held down dividend increases. We may yet get to energy prices that threaten current dividend levels. But again, prices of trusts aren’t reflected $70-a-barrel oil or $50- or even $30-a-barrel oil; they’re right back to where things were in 2001.

There are so many other examples of massive values like these throughout the markets. Clearly, this isn’t because someone is taking out a calculator and deciding what this business is worth at this price for energy or some other asset or trend. It’s sheer panic. In fact, no one is looking at any of this stuff, which is why everything had dropped so far and so fast.

In the utility industry, for several years I’ve rated most stocks as holds at best. That was largely because the market had already rewarded them for their recovery from the 2001-02 debacle. Now I’m looking very closely at financially strong, highly-regulated companies such as Allete, which is now back to very reasonable valuations--and I intend to focus on such companies
in the next issue of Utility Forecaster.

In the Oct. 22 issue of Personal Finance, I’ve authored an article on the largest and most dominant utilities, which now trade collectively at just 11 times the lowest Wall Street estimate for 2009. Those are projections that include some pretty dour assumptions for the coming year. These companies now yield nearly 5 percent and are on track for upper-single-digit growth in earnings and dividends for years to come, as they build out their infrastructure with regulators’ support. That’s business growth that’s assured even in a weak economy.

And the carnage and panic hasn’t been confined to stocks by any means. Take, for example, the extreme volatility in the prices of preferred stocks and bonds on an intraday basis. Yesterday’s graph of Cincinnati Bell Preferred B--which is backed by a company with a very steady telecom business--is positively penny stock-like. The shares opened in the low 30s, already a significant decline since early September when the overall market panic began. They then proceeded to drop to under $20 before rebounding to the mid-20s. Today, they’re off on another rollercoaster ride.

The company has a low credit rating, so it’s no secret why investors are fearful. But it also generates a mountain of predictable cash flow from what are largely essential services, and there’s been absolutely no significant news coming out of the company this week. Again, it’s simple unadulterated panic driving the market for this company’s preferred shares, just as it’s driving the market for virtually everything else.

One of the very halfhearted jokes making the rounds in our office--and elsewhere--is we’re “only” 16 days of 500-point declines on the Dow Jones Industrial Average from an absolutely sure bottom. That’s what it would take to send the value of the stocks of the largest US companies down to zero.

Possible? Well, that would entail the complete and total collapse of not only the US economy but of capitalism itself. It’s what Karl Marx and the early Communists envisioned when they were writing in the mid-19th century.

Much, much, much more likely, however, is that the fire that everyone’s now throwing gasoline on will suddenly ignite. What we’re really waiting on is some catalyst that starts to convince people that the system will recover. That, in turn, will build on itself and quell the panic, just as it has during every era of panic since investment markets have been in existence.

For the past several weeks, I’ve posited the idea that banks are going to follow the example of utilities over the past several years. Basically, that industry--like the financials--was deregulated and went to excesses of greed, leverage and risk taking. The result was a titanic crash, and a lot of very smart people got buried in the process.

The utility industry has recovered since by cutting debt and operating risk and getting back to running core, regulated businesses effectively. It’s no longer the “great” business for its players like it was in deregulation’s heyday in the late 1990s. But it is a “good” business and infinitely more stable, as evidenced by the fact that utility businesses are still weathering the crisis as businesses.

The catalyst that started the utility recovery in 2003 was a little heralded event brought to my attention by my friend and industry attorney Jonathan Gottlieb. Basically, an Asian company had made a bid for one of the gas-fired power plants that were then in receivership. It was only one plant. But it established there was a market for these assets, which many had written off as worthless and no one up to that point had wanted to touch. In the weeks that followed, we saw more moves, at first halting but later more aggressive, to snap up these assets. That, in turn,
freed up lending to the industry, and the recovery was underway.

Only time will tell what the great catalyst will be for this recovery, i.e., what will ultimately quell this panic. But it will happen. The pragmatists now in charge of the financial system are going to keep dumping gasoline, kerosene, bottle rockets and everything else they can find until they reignite global lending.

Markets have always been impatient, and they’re more so now than ever with so many global linkages. One reason this panic has lasted so long and has been so devastating is that there are so many global linkages. And, although I hate to say it, it could very well last much longer.

If you’ve resolved to stay with companies backed by solid businesses, however, the question is not really how low can it go but what kind of world we’ll be looking at when it does. As I’ve pointed out above, if you assume this is the end capitalism itself, you probably want to take these losses. Anything short of that, however, and the only possible conclusion you can reach is that this is a time of unprecedented values.

For those with cash to spend, I don’t see any great rush to buy. But it’s a great time for a strategy of incremental, disciplined investing in great companies for which you’ve always wanted to name your own price. It’s always a bad idea to “average down” a position, solely for the sake of getting a lower cost basis. But buying oil at $25 a barrel again, Fort Knox-solid utilities at early decade prices or big telecoms such as Verizon Communications and AT&T at near decade lows or cash-generating businesses paying 12 percent and up after increasing dividends is always a good idea.

In short, it really boils down to all of us asking ourselves one question: Do we believe in tomorrow? If “yes” is your honest answer, the best thing you’re going to do now is hang in there.
Even during the Great Depression, the best course was to do just that. The worst case was to liquidate into panics. Staying steady, in contrast, was the strategy that actually made money, even with the economy in ruins and the world in growing political chaos.

If you answered “no” to the question above, I also have an answer for you. Buy gold, the only asset that’s not simultaneously someone else’s liability. If the authorities can’t revive the system in the coming weeks, it will hold its value as it has for millennia. And if they do get the fire going, it’s going to burn very hot, scorching paper currencies across the board.

Again, gold will be the beneficiary and my view is $900 an ounce is going to look pretty reasonable in a few years. And you don’t have to hold physical metal to get the benefit. Buy the SPDR Gold Trust (NYSE: GLD), an exchange traded fund that essentially holds gold bullion.

NON-TRADITIONAL NEEDLING  AS EFFECTIVE AS THERAPEUTIC ACUPUNCTURE IN THE NEWS II

As a scientist within the acupuncture movement, visa vie the fact that I was the first fellow to map out how acupuncture actually works, while attaining my Acupuncture and Herbal Pharmacology degree, which I did (MSOM-1997 recipient Oriental Medicine Pioneer Award, presented by then President, Dr. Elizabeth Ohm OMD MSOM Kyungsan University USA), I must disagree a bit with the conclusions of the new study referenced.

Of course I learned what my mentor acupuncture authorities taught me when I turned in my initial thesis.  I was taught, "after a careful international scientific scrutiny both here and especially in Korea,  I was correct, however neither  the medical nor acupuncture world was ready to practice acupuncture according to the backward engineering (Politically) which could be discerned from the science revealed in my explanation of how acupuncture actually worked".

Well, soon they will add the 800 billion to the debt increasing the percentage again, but for now our national debt is just over 10 trillion.  We went from a 3 trillion surplus under Clinton to ten trillion debt under Bush.  That's a 13 trillion dollar switch.  And by the time they are done you can bet dollars for donuts that the debt goes higher causing the real problems which underpin the failures in our economy.  Sadly neither presidential candidate gets it, and we can now expect more "scare tactics" whomever is elected and more bailout's will follow. 

Relative to the debates outside of both candidates severe failures in understanding the big picture, Barack outshined John by light-years.  Whomever is advising McCain to morph into Governor Sarah was crazy.  John came off as a whiner last evening, and threw all his experience out the window.  Somehow he gave up the high ground to Barack and as odd as it seemed, Barack came off akin to Joe Biden in his debate; worldly, in control, demonstrating leadership abilities, and seemed to stress the issues rather than McCain who seemed to stress the old warn out issues we all heard over and over again until the record ware out, that of Barack's ties to two folks of questionable character.  The problem is that we just experienced the worst financial crisis in our lifetimes, and McCain was preaching about friendships!  Not when one is running for president.  It was as if John Mc Cain woke up on the wrong side of the bed, had horrific advisors, and came into the debate with the worst game plan one could muster.  Pity as Mc Cain does have the experience although he appears to beat the public over the head with words of his experience rather than demonstrating such experience.  The debate was odd.  But it appeared that Barack pulls ahead by a rather large win.

When will we nominate politicians who have the answers to our national problems, must demonstrate such critical thinking ability, and our debates would be on the best roads for our nation rather than silly he said, she said arguments, character assassinations, almost wasting the time of the viewers who as of the last few weeks found themselves poorer and poorer, and now even poorer.  Folks lost trillions in their savings and investments over the last few weeks, and our candidates have not demonstrated an understanding of how our national debt adversely effects everything we do in life save, Barack did take the issues this editor illustrated by reminding the folks that housewives, household leaders, students, and all folks from all walks of life must balance their own weekly and yearly budgets while our government has failed to demonstrate the basic tenants of developing quality credit, balancing the budget and understanding what they can afford to spend and when they should not spend money.

Today there was a world wide rate cut which should spur the markets.  However did anyone notice neither of our proposed candidates advocated such a world wide rate cut?  One has to seriously contemplate the need for a third valid party? little guy

FIVE DAYS AFTER BAILOUT: BAILOUT BUST WHILE AMERICAN PEOPLE SUFFERING MORE THAN PRIOR TO BAILOUT AND NOW WITH DOUBLE THE DEBT LOAD. 

Each day since the bailout our markets got worse.  Now day 5 and as I write this article the Dow is down 315 points to 988 a defined downward spiral of lost hopes and dreams of folks who believed in Bush, Reid (Has not been this low since 2004!!!!!), and Pelosi et al, and the commodity markets are at all time lows concomitant with regional banks only supporting their own customers, and be dammed with credit.  Bush, Nancy P, Harry R and the rest of the gang led by fear and absent normal and customary hearings and investigations to get to the bottom of the entire economic failure from housing, to credit, from stock and bond markets to oil and commodity markets.  No they led us down this bottomless penniless path, and when Bush leaves, all his appointees, and all that supported this bailout should also leave!  For once again, somehow the wacky leaders got the once conservative American government to spend money on two occasions which is anti the history of American government finance.  Yes we doubled our national debt which will increase our national debt which is the cause of the credit crunch. In other words fat cats were forced back to being the fat cats they were prior to Bush visa vie the bailout, so at least Bush can say, "fat cats did well under my leadership" and "to hell with all those that are not deemed "fat cats"". 

When the quote "a sucker is born every minutes" was uttered, it was never to mean the US government.  If we have learned nothing, learn the following:  Fear is the path to the dark side, fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, and hate leads to suffering.  Never relive mistakes from history.  Thank you President Bush and our Congress.  The rich will get richer and normal folks will get poorer as a direct result of the policies of this administration and the legislation from this congress.  They must all be voted out if you love America with all your heart, all you sole, and with all of your very being.  It's time for leadership based on the elimination of the national debt, elimination of the massive trade deficit, homeland manufacturing through tax incentives, and literally too much more directly attributable to American fiscal responsibility, transparency, and new leadership now! little guy

Folks who reported on the vice presidential debates reported what they wanted "we the people to hear".  Heck, the pundits are leading the news rather than reporting the news on most cable channels save CBS.  CBS has turned out to be the quite normal reporting channel, with a much softer, more southing sort of reporting than the other tension building cable stations.  Odd but a true and unreported finding on the cable news networks.  However and again, hypocrisy ruled the republican rhetoric though as cute as a bug on the rug sort of little train that could persona was appreciated. 

If one is experienced in politics then they see Sarah as she simply is.  For example, in an overview, Sarah stayed on pre-rehearsed message and only addressed pre-rehearsed issues.   Which is why she had to change the subject so often and only a republican loving viewer would not admit same.  She seemed to not answer the questions as she stayed on message as a good soldier in the political ranks under the mentorship of one such as the seasoned and honorable John McCain.  Pity she was not a tad more polished and able to think on her feet with instant repartee rather than having to change the debate to her predetermined strong suits.  As this editor say's, the republican loving folks, blind to truth, failed to report this fact. 

One thing that did bug this examiner during Sarah's motivated run, was she continually would say that "the government is not the answer" and it never helps.  Well, hello!  This was on the night between the senate voting for the largest government intervention into public life in world history as proposed by republicans all the way up throughout the white house and it's appointees, to the following day where the republican's in the house caved in!  "Boundless, uninhibited motivated hypocrisy".  Sarah "the government is not the answer", and the republican reality of our government being more intrusive and involved in our daily lives than any US government in our nations history denotes true hypocrisy to the nth degree!

Further, Sarah repeatedly called her future job the "Fed's" when she stood looking down at our government yet again run by her party!  And she is running to become the second highest "Fed" in her words, in the land!  Hypocrisy ordained!   Yet again and worthy of mention was that she could not answer the questions posed to her during the debate.  She did not respond to a question but would just go on her way.  Why?  Because she only spoke on that which she studied.  It was crazy.  Once the moderator and Joe were discussing intellectually about the economy and then when the forum switched to Sarah, suddenly a new subject on oil drilling ensued.  This happened repeatedly through the question and answer sessions.  Sadly, she was quite a bit on her own planet, which lost the debate for her as she didn't debate.  She spoke only on what she practiced and not original on her feet; instant critical thinking contemplation and repartee!  No just rehearsed practiced small data sets with variables affecting the larger picture.  A rooky little train that could!

Interestingly enough, Joe realized what the heck was going on, looked stunned for less than an instant as acknowledgement and joined the group who realized for her experience, she keeps trying to stay up with the generals of politics, and if nothing else, as a women is cute as the dickens; like the little train that could.  Joe would wisely smile.  Joe proved sophisticated and who he is.  Joe Biden won absent a doubt. My, my my, people do not demonstrate any learning and our nation continues to repeat over and over again the mistakes of the past which got us into our national housing crisis, today doubles our national debt crisis, national security market crisis, national banking crisis, national debt crisis, national trade debt crises, dwindling national industrial base, increasing dependence on foreign manufacturing failures, poisons, contamination import crisis, patent office crisis (They cannot complete the simple paperwork in under a year), passport office crisis, failing infrastructure crisis, and failed national health care crisis, causing unconscionable pain and loss of homes and jobs all under the direction of this present republican administration.  How did they do it?  By scaring the heck out of you all, while foreign entities benefit.  There is a saying which appears in the front of many medical study articles which goes "Fear is the path to the dark side, Fear leads to anger, Anger leads to hate, and hate leads to suffering."  Well, this fear mongering politics was so successful that, we have "mortgaged" our children's formative years and their children's futures by doubling our national debt today. 

Stock, Bond and Housing markets belly-flopped on the news of the bail out legislation passing.  Dow was up two hundred and change then the announcement and we dropped to -10 at the present.  There was no 1200 point rally which was so expected by the pundits on the various cable financial networks. We actually came down 280 points on the Dow and oil which was down came up to .48 cents presently.  In fact, by borrowing this for all intent and purposes trillion dollars and doubling our national debt, it infused the borrowed money into the "Red Chinese lenders", other foreign entities, and at least a forth of the money goes to foreign banks!  If the citizen investors regain their trillion lost the other day within a couple of days, then perhaps this deferment of paying the piper down the road a piece could be understood.  But if the little folks remain un-redressed, then this all was for not, both our candidates lost out on total credibility for the next term as presidents, and the wacky and crazy administration gets out of dodge Scott free. 

All elected officials who voted for this bill should not be returned to  congress after the election.  Let's see to what extent, the people share their views when they go into the voting booths.   little guy

Look folks, since the onset of the Iraq decision, this journal warned, that history has given us the Roman Empire, in fact most empires of the past, eventually destroyed themselves by a loss of a world view national moral fabric, and developed bizarre crusades, usually wars rather than supporting the basic infrastructures of those societies which history teaches must be renewed periodically.  In other words, the republicans decided that the so called fight against terrorism morphed into the Iraq War causing our nation's superlative losses financially, was more important than anything!  That is the republican doctrine...e.g. "The recent lipstick on a pig morphing".   And the markets have now proven this journal correct.  Very sad.

Two days ago I wrote "But the overall picture of the outstanding Public Debt as of September 5, 2008 at 9:28:51 PM GMT was 9,670,084,396,968.22 dollars.  The estimated population of the United States is 304,674,012 so each citizen's share of this debt is $31,739.12. The National Debt has continued to increase an average of $1.93 billion per day since September 28, 2007.  That is unconscionable and should be the center piece of a debit on the future course of our nation.  And add that to 480,830,414,748.56 dollars and cents trade deficit, and our complete political process seams gamed and absent much in the way of promise to turn things around.  Lets face it, there are only two major parties, one caused the our fiscal chaos, and thus the other should be a shoe in for change and hope for a reversal of fortunes.  Yet, the nightwear just keep going on."  And the very next day, Merrill Lynch had to be sold, Lehman Brothers bankrupt, and AIG fighting for its life.   But journal readers were not surprised.  Just saddened by the continual failings of a doctrine proven sour.

Only a pin head or one who has not thought the subject through and for some reason or another became a follower of an pin head, would not realize that "IF"  THE NATION DEVELOPED A NATIONAL PERSONAL PUBLIC DEBT PER PERSON OF $31,739.12 COMBINED WITH A TRADE DEFICIT OF $480,830,414,748.56 AND THEN ADD THAT TO A WHOPPING $9,670,084,396,968.22 national debt, AND THAT TOTAL DEBT OCCURRED BECAUSE IT WAS SQUANDERED ABROAD SO NO TAX DOLLARS WERE GENERATED FROM SUCH GOVERNMENT EXPENDITURES, "THEN" IT WOULD DESTROY OUR WAY OF LIFE OR LOWER ITS STANDARDS;  MERRILL LYNCH SOLD FOR THE PITTANCE OF $29 A SHARE, AIG FIGHTING FOR ITS LIFE, BEAR STERNS, LEHMAN BROTHERS GONE, WORST CREDIT CRUNCH SINCE THE GREAT DEPRESSION, WORST HOUSING SINCE THE GREAT DEPRESSION AND WE EVEN SAW "RUN ON BANKS" combined with foreign imports killing our women and children through poisons, and simply too much more.   Folks your republican leadership has sold off the nation, got you to drill now rather than being the last nation on earth to have oil when all others run out, allowed our bridges, highways, underground plumbing, port and border security to fall apart concomitant with a now super high and going higher cost of foods, drugs, and necessary accouterments of life, only proving that to claim the fight against terrorism was more important than other staples of "sophisticated, modern development" such as education, food, infrastructure, oil, costs of basic transportation such as a ticket for a cross-country flight, bus, train, or boat all thrown overboard in the name of fighting terrorism, and again, was akin to "throwing the baby out with the bath water".  It is my unfortunate position to have prognosticated such outcomes at this Journal, and it is only common sense that all the bad things which are happening are following the republican drain of funds down the sinkhole of republican ideas and rhetoric.  They are truly great salespeople

Do you want the strongest markets in the world?  Do you want the best prices for food, drugs, cosmetics, and necessary accoutrements of life?  Do you want affordable costs for education or healthcare?  Then you must join this Journal's now eight year fight to bring the US to a positive  trade and develop an absence of trade debt, eliminate the national debt and bring us into the black again, as that influx of credit, will fortify all markets, focus funding for infrastructure, education and healthcare, and just as insidiously as the problems followed the Iraq War decision financially downward, all markets and ways of life will become cheaper and more affordable as our nation becomes debt free and an investor in the world again, rather than the Bush and Republican designs which make us the largest borrower in world historyCommon sense.

This article does not cast blame on only one person or another.  It's purpose is to bring common sense and inductive and deductive reasoning back into the  nation fabric, and bring our nation to new heights never achieved before.  In other words make life at home so wonderful, only a fool would be a terrorist, and the world would join us.  In a heartbeat.  Does this make sense to you?

Today the options for rapid information, keeping you on top of your clinical and scientific practice is readily available through several sources.  There are many sites which sell you discount medical soft wear, subscription based software which vanishes after a one or two year period, a tried and true system of purchase the product and receive updates, and free shareware medical software which in many cases turns out to be wonderful if a limited subject is all that is required.  Two of the venders have integrated software so that under one icon houses many aspects of diagnosis, differential diagnosis, treatments, medications with separate sections using a rapid icon within the program to send you to the mechanics of action, interactions between drugs, contraindications to medications, adverse effects of medications and truly much much  more.  There are even numerous Medical Textbooks from internal medicine to orthopedics, from emergency medicine to family medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, EENT, oncology, radiology, gynecology and obstetrics and again, much much more.  Your editor has begun a trial of all products listed, and has recorded his experiences in a wonderful medical download program used for just such research.  Any product proven worthy will be announced, with a grade but should not reflect endorsement by any of the founders of this journal who are MD PhD experts in their own fields as well as the original anti-fraud consumer protections experts within our nation.  Any endorsement should not reflect on other board members, task force members, or our general membership as each individual reserves the right to have their own opinions codified by the Academy rules and regulations.

My first recommendation is relative to which smart phone has passed the test of time for phone services with minimal consumer complaints for down time since its inception.  This phone has over a one year track record of excellence in service and is the Treo 755P.  For software compatibility the palm version has had less problems in all smart phones than the windows versions.  Before you buy a smart phone make sure that it has had at least one year of proven success absent any consumer complaints like the bird opined by today's article, the Treo 755P.  There are indeed many consumer complaints about all others phones on the marketplace and in consideration of the fact that today's' republican administration has left us with caveat emptor (buyer be ware) and laissez-faire (free trade with zero guarantees coming from the foreign manufactured goods, or phone answering services with mixed languages or folks you just can't understand due to either their poor grasp of the English language or heavy foreign accent due to your call being outsourced to a foreign nation) doctrines, prompting only the wise would stay with a product which has stood the test of time; consumer, educator, administrative, judicial and enforcement review.  Best of luck and choose wisely. little guy

Well, some folks were surprised that some of Hillary's numbers were actually part of Operation Chaos perpetrated by the famous republican loon, akin to the negative network republican loons, who are now calling their folks home.  The number of women who blindly listen to the loons, or those that never did anything great save take up space in lieu of a past pundit, must attack someone who has done something no other person in history has, become a presidential candidate of a major party who is not Caucasian.  Barack has done something of monumental historical achievement, and his distracters have become puny, now proven xenophobes, negative on all that is good to simply have a republican win an office again, and who have caused McCain's statistics to rise, as chameleon voters have come home to roost. 

This in turn caused Oil to rise drastically as this journal predicted, causes a pseudo calming in Iraq because terrorists want oil prices to rise, helps Iran, and frankly, if something is not done, Oil, McCain, and Iran become the big winners.  Look at China, benefiting from all the political stupidity coming from our Republican leaderships which was all predictable, and in fact with an Obama Presidency, backed by our ladies, we could find ways to grow sugar cane in the US to make alternative fuels cheaply, drill our own oil in some small ways, increase funding for oil alternatives such as Wind, Coal and so forth, would decrease demand for oil, and cause its per barrel price to drop.  Facts folks!

When I was a young American, we were the best at understanding business, but today the concept of supply and demand have been outsourced, Iran must be precluded as the monster it is, and even absent Iranian oil, if all was dealt with, oil prices would drop.  But if the republicans get their way, look for a larger recession, oil at 150 by August, and perhaps 200 after a McCain election. 

But are there other Americans who strive to think with inductive and deductive reasoning other than those that founded this Journal, our writings, and our readers?  Spread the word folks, its time for America to seize control of its own destiny. little guy

NON-TRADITIONAL NEEDLING  AS EFFECTIVE AS THERAPEUTIC ACUPUNCTURE IN THE NEWS

A new study in the New England Journal of Medicine reveals that needling a patient in areas not associated with protocol acupuncture points was just as effective for Migraines as therapeutic or traditional acupuncture.  The study also indicates that neither acupuncture approach was very effective in helping eliminate the migraines of the folks studied.  Hopefully there will be more research to confirm or refute reality soon. -"little guy"

RSD (Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy, aka Complex Regional Pain Syndrome) is a condition caused by a malfunction within the nervous system that causes chronic, burning pain.  The condition can be severe and disabling.

Research, education, and most importantly, treatment efforts have been greatly hampered by a lack of awareness of this condition, even in the medical community.  But RSD is not rare—estimates vary that between 200, 000 to 1.2 million Americans are currently suffering with this condition.

To make this short, what in the world was up with Obama's presidential seal.  Now I know things have changed, that we are in the cycle of the weird, the violent, and the wrong, but in my day, it was illegal to create a reasonable facsimile of the the Presidential Seal.  Let alone display it!  This was very disappointing to this examiner, who has wrote many good things, about the good deeds, good positions, and wisdom of Obama.  This was indubitably unwise.  However this reminds me of a quote by Tom Waits; "The folks who know the truth aren't taking.  The ones who don't have a clue, you can't shut them up!"  

I would bet dollars for donates that John (been off the mark for some two years) Mc Cain, would never even think of such a lam- brain stunt.  Obviously, believing that what was good for the best generation is still best for their children, this editor will not display the goofball symbol Barack Obama displayed.  Yet it worries the soul when such hair-brained stunts are demonstrated.  And that folks, could be a sign of things yet to come.  Disappointed.Editor

This examiner has always bent over backwards AND in fact had to be a contortionist to find reason for Bush actions, someone this editor never voted for BUT to be human is to make errors and learn, unintended actions could pose a situational psychology unprepared for, and too many more options to hinder perfection.  Yet, this President finds a way to disappoint.

The President missed a golden opportunity, a once in a lifetime chance to save his last two years.  Some Republican pundit’s first positive is a negative.  To this I refer to the President’s greeting of the honorable Nancy P.  Yet, the missed opportunity was to tell the truth which “no one can deny”.   It was the hard headed plugged ears of the President and his party, which brought in our first in history, lady speaker.  In fact her becoming the third most powerful person in our nation proves we are a greater nation than the sum of our parts.  Women can run the show.  Thus, the president should have acknowledged his errors, indicated he learned to listen to the voters, and his failures issued in the landslide for the democrats.  But no, it was a pseudo polite repartee, rather than sharing the truth which is a reality more and more people are beginning to share. 

To make this short relative to his balance the budget absent taxes proposal, it was laughable especially tied to spending control within 5 years!  Again, nothing finished or completed during Bush’s tenor, but pie in the sky promises of all you’re most vexing hopes and dreams leaving you nothing but rhetoric gone stale.  Well earmarks, ½ by the end of the session.  Why?  Is there a ½ we should be investigating?  Why are earmarks made illegal now!  You know why. 

Entitlements such as Medicare, Social security absent a plan but full of promises of hope, that will again leave you in despair.  Cheap talk when the plan is to further spread the entitlements thin by the great giveaway to illegal aliens over Americans done consciously or unconsciously by the Bush era and perhaps after legislative branch and executive branches!  And that is continuing even while very pretty folks smile, and the same old politicians think of new names for earmarks! 

Everyone knows that relative to foreign nations, the once undefeatable Minnesota scores which have raised US scores for years recently hit a bump and the fight to regain the number one position is occurring now absent anything to do with Bush!  Further California dropping low in the scoring bodes poorly for our nation.  Many other states fall farther behind.  Thus business is bringing in kids with educations!  We must make US education number one forevermore. 

Health care madness.  Be sure to do your taxes early in the year so you can know which plan to sign up for relative to your families medical needs, although if an error occurs and you cannot pay for care given freely to illegal aliens you will still be out in the cold absent care and on your own. 

It is time to create a fund to pay for a national insurance from a percentage of all the foreign aid and loony pork spending.  Find it from the percentages we have and stop burdening the people with false choices.  We can spend a trillion in Iraq but cannot give a trillion to good Americans as a reward for being real Americans! 

Lectured us on being a melting pot failing to understand it was also legal.  Thus he slandered all folks who believed otherwise and came here prior to the Bush presidency.  This is realty.  The great melting pot proposed by our forefathers with the constitution written by our forefathers is patriotic.  Not changing the pot and its laws to suit "politicizer's" of our times who have proven beyond a shadow of a doubt, none of them are anywhere near the genius or greatness of our founding fathers.  Shame shame shame on those who wish to continually rewrite our constitution for their so called good ideas, and change the make up of the 200 year old American melting pot for good health, a chance at prosperity and justice for all. Done "legally-the American way".

However perhaps the funniest part was his foreign oil lecture to diversify by technology absent any plan presented on exactly line by line how to do it.  Pie in the sky.  Immediately when 911 occurred any rational and responsible president would have enacted wind, solar, ethanol, coal with a plan and by now we would be independent from the daily threats of oil dilemmas.    Thus decrease 10% gas within ten years sounds nice but again is a moot point relative to Bush since he did not accomplish it nor much during his years.  Accomplish means done and a lasting testament to hard work rather than 6 years of hot air.   

But just when one though it could not get worse he did it.  Bush got worse.  He proposed to send civilians into Iraq to fight since the reality is those that wish to fight are thinking twice about following a king with no cloths into battle.  Its odd to do battle when the king has no clothes.  A volunteer reserve core to send on missions abroad.  Now he wants to send our neighbors, cousins, friends, and everyone but a Bush to Iraq.   

And to add insult to injury, Bush made light of our nations plight, and took four fine contributors to business and good deed out of 286 million and left out the two true heroes of the day; the Bush martyrs, Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean. Simply  abandoned and left behind akin to Katrina and yes" Viet Nam! Bush left them behind "in the battle to save us all", and that is unforgivable to anyone who has ever been in the trenches for Justice, and for all those that share common sense and good will toward man. 

It was at this point in the speech that I though perhaps Bush would make everyone in the US feel good, but of course the hard headed ways continue with the good being robbed of their identifies, and now our law enforcement in the trenches agents, in the trenches and I’ve been there,  where only a true hero, often patriot, good family person could be enlisted for such work.  Yet, for the first time I can remember, abandoned, framed, dishonored, shamed, embarrassed, and destroy life’s of folks whose only intent was that very day, to do “all that is good” for our nation and for our people.  Again, the true state of our nation today. 

No, it wasn’t much of a speech at all, just a litany of entertaining concepts and ideas which was much to do about nothing.  Akin to watching a fictional movie.  Thus, this editor was disappointed by President Bush’s state of our Union address.  But that’s from the independent point of view.  May God bless our nation and all that are good.  little guy

It has become perfectly clear, that the American citizen's fell fo the greatest PR campain in history.  If President Bush would have been doing his job, 911 would not have happened.  Everything else was a failrue of our experience for we were so sad that some few our Arab brothers hated us, and made such a horrible act, we were easy victoms of the Bush Repbulican cover-up.  You see folks when your in it forthe money, you make mistakes.  Bush will goe down in history has mch worse than he was.  But wheile he was chasing payoffs, things slipped past.

It is this examiners opinion that only the dumbest of the dumb,  would continue to claim their fight is against terrorism and all results end in empowering the world which sent terrorists to destroy our county on 911.  This may have been the worst 6 years in US history absent our civil war and perhaps when Jimmy Carter was president, with failures on every front save tax reduction.  Clearly our leaders pretend they love us but all actions betray everything we believe in.  Everything is to make the super-rich richer.  This week the Bush administration gave away our port security in what many call, "another secret deal paying off old favors"!  Why?  The Bush administration claims Americans are not competent enough to manage our ports!  There is not one American company qualified to maintain the relative eastern ports and our American security.  It is the same reason everything is outsourced.  Tell Americans how productive we are all while sneaking our productivity out of the nation to maximize corporate profits!  And now they gave away our east coast port security!  Folks these are high paying jobs!  If you check they are presently paying $25 per hour to carry carts of Banana's off the boats to forklifts!  Forklift operators 35-59 dollars per hour.  Working on the docs is hard work but high pay at a time we need jobs for Americans!  High paying work on the docs comparable to minimum wage pay for similar jobs in heartland America.  It is simply unconscionable that that the Bush Administration gives such little thought to jobs which pay less than $400,000 per year!

This American wondered how the Bushes could be best friends with the leaders of the country which for all intent and purposes primarily caused 911, and yet they never brought their own citizen and families friend Bin-Laden in for Bush.  We sat by and let it go.  We watched this administration cause world unrest and World War III in the name of arresting the few hundred scum which caused 911 and were "war-shocked".  We watched and were subsequently mind-boggled by this administrations impotency which allowed Americans to die and look like poor impoverished unimportant flies as victims of the aftermath of this years hurricanes.  Even more recently we witnessed the unbelievable when either the drug Mafia or Mexican Military or both have made weekly incursions into the US bringing heinous IV drugs and death to our shores.  We witnessed the implausible and were astonished that either the Mafia or Mexican Military or both built underground highways into the US from Mexico for the purposes of trafficking human beings and IV drugs and death!  All of this and 911 on the Bush Administration watch.  This is a fact which cannot be denied even by Republicans.  Prior to the Bush Administration our mainland America had never been hit successfully and with such catastrophic death and destruction.  This administration was warned by "Able Danger" but decided not to listen.  911 on their watch.  We observed because we elect folks to handle such affairs, and thus, let their actions go.  All under the so called "watchful eye" of the Bush Administration.  Malarkey!

But now, we have observed the sale of the "management" of our eastern ports, and to a country named by our 911-Commission as having allowed three of the perpetrators of 911 to run amok freely in order to fly planes into our buildings!  What is wrong with this picture folks? My fellow Americans, "what is wrong with this picture"?

Let's say that a middle east radical calls their unnamed relative who works for the Arab port security.  He requests they sneak a huge thermonuclear bomb into our eastern port because he advances the crazy notion that it will only take one detonation to destroy the freedom fighters.  Then all women and children can be taken as sex slaves, their money confiscated while the Christians and Jews would be exterminated.  Do you think the port worker will say yes or no?  How can any administration have such an absence of vision, and be so blatantly irresponsible?  Every scenario should have been considered and been provided for.  Every scenario.  Indeed.  If you think that is far fetched, Iran's Clerics on News Sunday openly voiced the fact that when they acquire the bomb, they would Nuke the West.  Unbelievable!  Fire a gun at them and their response would be nuclear!  The West nor the rest of the world nor anyone in their right mind ever mentions using Laser Particle, Neutron, Hydrogen or Atomic arms.  It is unspeakable yet there it was in Iran, open advocates for world destruction at the drop of a hat; 02-19-2006.

They have no hearts, no humane souls, no benevolence, no conscience.  During the same hour, training of suicide bombers paid for by Iran, held in Iran and by  Iranian University Students and wayward women appeared in the news!  It is clear that Saddam was only 1/2 of the root of all evil. 

Prior to and with intent to prevent the obvious eventual scenario, this examiner is truly sorry to report, it is my opinion and the opinion of a number of real Patriots, and growing, that the Republican Bush administration has crossed the line.  The example of how effective their homeland security was relative to the victims in New Orleans et al relative to the aftermath of this seasons hurricanes, and even up until the present, proves beyond a shadow of doubt, that the Bush Administration has a total lack of wisdom, and their FEMA is a perfect example of their failed polices every time it comes to protecting the little folks of our great nation.  Save our ports and jobs for working and retired Americans, our woman, children and the weak, by reversing the Bush Administrations super ignorant and blatantly blind "great Port give away",  before it is too late.  God Bless all Americans and America.-"little guy"

As all of my readers and board members know, this editor applied the principals of accounting that I was "certified" to perform on an Anti-fraud financial forensic audit or investigation.  It has been odd to this examiner, that suddenly over the past 6 years, every time my calculations which are the formulae used by OMB etc, and of course Secret Service Treasury anti-fraud audits to which I was again, certified to perform as a government certified fraud examiner, have been doubted, ignored, and frankly covered by smoke and mirrors by Bush and his lap-dog reporters, news commentators and economists!

Yet today, this examiner was presently surprised to hear the honorable Dr. Ben Bernanke agree that absent a change to common sense reasonable and rational polices on the parts of our elected officials, then we have doomed our children and the future of our nation.  With that said, then it means current Bush strategies are simply and categorically, off.  Let this examiner cherish this day, as the calls alerting me to this situation are deafening. 

Of course he then backtracked from his statement when answering political questions which expose the view beyond his own comfort level.  Which only proves he will not be made a "Sir", but that he has in himself the capacity for truthful analysis which could save our nation from disaster relative to our size and strength prior to the Bush presidency, and our most heart felt expectations for the future of our great nation, the United States of America. 

But again since he is a Bush nominee, you could see him backtrack for political reasons yet his opening statement should be cast in stone.  Thus we all understand the situational psychology in play and the once elusive "factoids".  The King, for a moment in time could be seen "naked", until the denial political rhetoric overtook his answers and the King again appeared to be clothed!  And poor Dr. Ben simply is not a master of speaking akin to his predecessor, but for all that is good and all that care, truth was validated if for only a wrinkle in time.  Please read the good doctor's wonderful opening statement.  And all good and kind Congresspersons, you now have enough quote material to float a battle ship if you can study like an old time legislator.  Enough for the battle.

Some folks who become our leaders never suffered, and as odd as it may seem to some, can never feel, emphasize or even care about people like good people who have suffered.  As a youngster state Judo Champ age 11 (It was cool wining a World  Championship Karate Title at the Long Beach Arena International Karate Championships, "seniors 41 and over" years later...), Local JFK award recipient for athletic achievement on the JFK all around physical fitness achievement program 14, performer on stage in Music Man, Westside Story, Once upon a Mattress, The Sound of Music  productions etc in the four state area AGES 5-13, TV Romper Room several years (Romper Stomper Bomper Boo...loved driving the milk truck...Casey Jones and his train...) while a child, when at 14 suddenly came down with ulcerative colitis knocking me out of school for six months and much blood loss.  Suddenly, having a disability I never acknowledge as it might change my pace, does build an understanding and love for others.  It's a natural evolution of understanding all folks that are not children of the "Snot" world.  Well if one looks at it this way, and focus on the plight of our children, then it is easy to understand why it is so painful for many to find an uncle Sam child absent a hand and wrist, a leg, two legs and one arm and so forth from cowardly road side bombs and even at the death from a bullet from such slime as that which supports terrorism against the worlds peoples. 

No, I do not believe that Iraq had anything to do with the war on terror nor 911.  No, I do not believe correct foresight, and obviously ability was available to lead us into Iraq.  And no,  I do not see any new strategy.  Just a prototypical now 6 year old technique of fog cover to give the Iraqi Government a ninth chance to tell the truth and enforce the law for both major factions and stop the subtle but palpable revenge against Soony's for Saddam's legacy.  Further, the additional troops are drawdown from levels as recent as last year.  Never was US might and ethical and proper troop size employed after we won the war against Saddam's military.  We have all witnessed unless you have those famous lying eyes, a severely bungled war aftermath through this very day. 

Bush never utilized our size and brilliance in Iraq.  Just idiot policy and "an" alleged strategy which fails due to its movement back and forth via the pull from what foreign interests or best friends of our leaders wished and never the "wishes, dreams or within the wildest imaginations" of normal US voters. Never!  No one ever thought the Republicans could lead us to where we are today.  No matter how one paint's it, we lost 3,000 from 911 where the entire world then loved us, and now sacrificed 3,000 of their children failing to bring Bin-Laden to Justice while getting us side tracked to Bush's private War concomitant with a massive loss in world support and sentiment!  If we could have only let Cheney take over unhindered for a few months...like Gerald Ford without all the hoopla and wasted time, energy, hypocrisy, politicking, legal maneuverings, money and pain...and then return Bush when he could manage things.  Heck, the peoples dream I bet yaw!

The World loved us Post 911 as stated out loud following the lead of lady dignity herself, the Queen of England, that every one was an American!  That was the largest political dollar value "good will" in world history and our president found a way to miss his target like a horrible archer and squander every penny to where he has indeed made us unpopular by hundreds of millions and despised by crazies which he created on a world wide basis!  And guess who is the most surprised when one after one, we are hated by another country to rationalize away?  The Bush bunch and their network commentators. 

Its outrageous but our shared US reality "IS" that we nave lost 3,000 of their children in Iraq AND GAVE "BUSH-DISABILITIES TO OVER TWENTY THOUSAND AND CLIMBING" which did not pay for the elimination of world terrorism nor the entire (Get it!)  terrorist movements against the US.  Bush actions accomplishes none of the above!.  Bush accomplished very little in his eight years and caused us to get into this great debate on Iraq while death continues to our children and Iraq's people absent accomplishing the elimination of all perpetrators of 911.

Bush never got the simple perpetrators of 911 and created a world mess.  And thus, under god and indivisible from my belief in the leadership role for patriotic journalists, the end result of the last four years has been unconscionable relative to how safe we could have been, sending in special forces SIOP's  and so forth and letting our new world good will from 911 allow each country to police itself or cooperate with our special forces.  Saddam would have been gone in half the time for half the price. 

Look at the war.  Won in days.  Look at the after math and it appears the only consistent focus was on Saddam's death.  Thus, he died.  Once that occurred the rest is for history rather than a strategy which does explain how we got here.  "No military is more powerful then the powerful mind of its leader" ( Lg, 01-16-07).  Got it.  It can never work from the bottom up which has been the expectation of this president.  And thus we are all here in the mud.  Even the gas and oil giants, Republican through and through, are artificially lowering gas prices and oil, afraid of the backlash reality could impose if all folks thought with their minds rather than their hearts.  Dem's could be in power for decades after this.  Republicans look unbeatable, oil prices outlandishly high; fear of Democratic support, oil prices come down below realities necessity!
